Ageia Physx in PS3 - Developers Taking Advantage?

Amongst the whole mess of technology Sony has been pimping about the PS3 like the Cell and Blu-ray, I have not heard much about the Ageia PhysX technology. What's up with that? Are they ashamed of it?

GRAW2 apparently takes advantage of PhysX. I hear nothing about it for the PS3, but a few mumurs here and there for the PC version.

Unreal Engine 3.0 apparently takes advantage of it and again I have yet to see devs or even Sony touting great things about PhysX.

Any ideas?

Did PhysX get removed and I wasn't aware?

Edit: Some clarifications added.

Link about the SDK here PhysX SDK for PS3

No, according to Ageia, the PhysX API is included with the PS3 devkit, since the Cell was apparently the only CPU capable of handling it... somehow. It doesn't need to have the chip to take advantage of the abilities the API has.

I think it dedicates a cell to the PhysX API if I remember right.

I thought we just chatted about this. :lol

There is no PhysX chip in the PS3.

Oh ok, you updated your post. :)

360 games such as Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Splinter Cell DA, GRAW 1 and GRAW 2 all use the Ageia Physics API.

PS3 titles that use the Ageia API are Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire and Rainbow Six Vegas.

And my favorite one - Red Steel for the Wii also uses it.

Two Worlds uses it on PC, so I imagine the 360 version will as well.

I thought Havok was also part of the developer API/SDK

It's up to the developer to use it, I would guess, but most seem to like using Havok.

We did. :lol

But, still, the technology it brings to the PS3 should have been touted?

Well...maybe. Personally I think that even if someone was using another API or even their own Physics engine...as long as it uses an SPU to its full potential is the most important thing.

PLAYSTATION 3: The hardware is good. It's developers that suck.
The hardware has only been out for 9 months!! WTF do people expect? I'm impressed by the quality of the software in the first year - damn, it's not even a year yet. Give it time.

The 360 XBLA game Roboblitz uses the Ageia PhysX API...
