I swear I had this idea for months now that the whole AI thing will somewhat backfire and bring people more together down the line as people will just become sick of where this is going. I'm not joking that as time goes on I become more inclined to join in person meetings at our company due to this. Also last time I made an effort to call my friend and talk to him on his B-Day instead of messaging him.Speaking for myself, I'm just withdrawing from the public internet more and more. I'm watching YouTube less and focusing on the channels I've been subscribed to for years only. When YouTube puts videos from new channels, I make a point to say "Not Interested". I'm also looking at news sites much less. I've been spending more time playing games, reading books, watching TV/Movies, and writing.
Yeah same, hell I've just started into Lord of the Rings, haven't read the book since I was teenager 1400yrs ago, such a bloody fantastic book and so different to the movies which the wife and I watch every year, had completely forgotten everything about it and it's fun seeing all the changes that Jackson made for the movies and then the little snippets of dialogue and Easter eggs that he kept in that nod to wider characters and eventsSpeaking for myself, I'm just withdrawing from the public internet more and more. We need some sort of app, or extension that blocks AI slop.

I did a search to see if someone had started a Youtube extension for flagging AI videos and channels and this was one of the first links. A possible AI generated website that links to nothing.
