Tindalos and Focus Reveal Story Trailer for Aliens: Dark Descent Today, Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive, in collaboration with 20th Century Games, revealed a gripping Story Trailer for Aliens: Dark Descent. The strategic, real-time, squad-based, tactical action game set in the iconic Alien universe lands June 20 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Pre-orders are available on all platforms and grant the Lethe Recon Pack as a reward. Discover the unbearable tension and horrific action of the game’s cinematic narrative campaign now with the Story Trailer. Prepare for a terrifying original Alien tale In Aliens: Dark Descent, players take on real-time combat against iconic Xenomorphs and brand new threats. Using a range of tactical abilities, they recruit, level up and command a squad of Colonial Marines as one unit with intuitive controls on keyboard & mouse as well as on controller. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent and reactive levels where death is permanent. This thrilling gameplay takes place as heart-pounding events unfold the horrors and wonders of an authentic Alien narrative through a cinematic campaign full of sinister secrets. The nightmare begins when the Otago spacecraft crash lands on Planet Lethe after a Xenomorph escaped containment and caused the activation of the Cerberus Protocol — a planetary lockdown preventing all ships from leaving or landing on the planet. Aliens: Dark Descent’s original campaign will pit players against iconic Xenomorph creatures — from Facehuggers to Praetorians, Alien Queens and many more — as well as rogue human commandos and a brand-new threat. A cast of memorable characters set the plot in motion, notably Maeko Hayes, Deputy Administrator at Lethe’s Pioneer Station; Jonas Harper, Sergeant for the US Colonial Marines; and Barbara Pryce, Colony Director for the Weyland-Yutani. Gear up and discover the source of a strange and dire threat in Aliens: Dark Descent on June 20 when the game releases on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. Digital and retail pre-orders are open for all platforms. For more information, visit the Focus Entertainment website.

Looks “descent”

…I’ll see my self out.

Looks to have a solid story, if a little campy which looks fun to be honest. Gameplay looks on point. Just wish the pulse rifle sounded more authentic

Halo is heavily inspired by Aliens. The Piller of Autumn design takes a lot of cues from the USS Sulaco featured in the movie Aliens.

Aliens must be one of the most influential films ever when it comes to video games - not just Halo but Doom, Quake, Starcraft, Killzone, Gears of War etc etc. For instance it's practically law that all dropship pilots have to be female, because Ferro.
