There's only one way to avoid getting your console banned for playing a game early, and that's to make sure it doesn't tell Xbox Live that you've played the game before its release date. Disable your wifi, plug out the ethernet cable, make damn sure that box doesn't touch the internet until Tuesday at 12:01 am PST, and you'll be fine.

But it will know you've played it before release, as the achievements/logs will keep a note of that. Don't know if that makes a difference.

If you play a legit copy and don't post footage of it on the internet you will be fine.

The EULA clearly states that you can play games ahead of release date but you cannot release footage of the game.

You cannot be banned for just playing a game before the release date.

Part of me is thinking that the reviews on Monday will contain reused footage. I know that Gametrailers didn't put their TLoU review up because Naughty Dog said they couldn't use any footage they wanted.

I am praying that the reviewers can put any clip they want in the reviews and not just clips that Rockstar have possibly given them.

I actually have a ccw permit and probably will go armed. I just hate the idea of potentially getting in a situation where I might have to use it. The fact that it is a public location is somewhat reassuring, but it still feels pretty shady. I would prefer to just take a friend and leave the gun at home. 100 bucks isn't worth potentially getting in a shootout over. I'd just give the money up if he tried to jack me rather than trying something stupid over 100 bucks.

Already been discussed. Niko only gets reactions from NPC's if he runs into them. Which is what he does in that gif. Franklin is walking into those NPC's so you cant judge it from that.

There is a video where Franklin jumps into a cop and the cop reacts as there is a collision.

Dude, I completely understand how they feel. You ever been to the GTAIV midnight releasees at Gamestops? How about the ones in shady areas? Mine almost didn't have a release, because of the area, but they did, and it was kind of scary. Myself and a few parents were like the only ones not smoking, cursing, and looking all-around shady. One dude even brought some non-friendly dogs... Luckily, my GS now is in a nice area, but if that other store proves fruitful, I won't need to do a Midnight release.

This is what I keep saying. I don't really care that hes recording with a potato, but at least upload to a service that allows videos for more than 6-7 seconds.
