Huh? They aren't planning on re-releasing it, if that's what you mean.
I thought this was coming to WiiU...no? I'm pretty sure they showed Zelda footage for WiiU and I doubt it will be a whole new one.

At E3 they showed what a potential WiiU zelda could look like. They said multiple times at E3 that Skyward Sword was only for Wii.

That was not WiiU footage of any Zelda. That was tech demo similar to the spaceworld demo all those moons ago.

Welp, would have waited for nothing. Thanks.

I still kind of wonder what the game would look like if they stuck with the TP art style like they originally planned. I prefer what they have now it would just be interesting to see it as it once was.
I honestly prefer Phi in the Twilight Princess artstyle.

Holy shit, get ready for the shitstorm :P

It's a lyre. :P

What did you call me?

Anyways you are correct, I was just copying what all the website were calling it, but that makes more sense and is way cooler sounding. In any event I just hope its fun to play, has some bitchen melodies to go along with it and plays a worthwhile role in the gameplay.

I just noticed that thing the upgrade shop guy is working on is a 3D image viewer. It's got red and green lenses. Maybe it lets you take 3D pictures that can be sent to 3DS for viewing.
Why have people ignored this post! I got very excited when I saw this! :D

It would be funny if Nintendo calls it a harp after they didn't call the ocarina a "flute" in OoT... though they did call the ocarina a flute in ALttP.

It's also the same lyre that Sheik uses in OoT.

It's intentional. This is like the adult link version of Wind Waker, and I didn't like Wind Waker, so I probably won't pick this up.

I still remember when this game was teased as a game where Link didn't have his sword, and now the game is called Skyward Sword >.>;

Ah well, there's always the Wii U...

Not sure if serious. Also, just because it has a sort of WW feel, does not mean that it will be like WW. Who knows, you could love it. Oh well.

i really like how in oot, the gloves were seen on the model once you got them.
i wish more stuff like that was visible on link as he upgrades his gear. maybe a quicker? or a bomb bag on a bat belt? it does not have to be super realistic... (how the hell can he carry 40 bombs? )

not as exaggerated as this with ladders and rafts, but i like the small touches of the bottle, etc.

Oh man, that would be cool. I like that kind of stuff as well.

Being able to take screenshots in-game and then transfer them to the 3DS would be an actual genius use of the ability for the Wii and 3DS to communicate wirelessly.

And even at that, it could just write them to the SD in the Wii and then you put it in the 3DS to view them or upload it to one of those 3D picture sites.

If that's an actual feature of the game, hopefully Microsoft lets the next Halo take 3D screenshots when viewing a film <_<

Also hopefully it can hold more than the 3 shots of the Wind Waker camera.

That could have been a really fun sidequest, but damnit Nintendo, 3 at a time? Really?

The camera should have the ability to just automatically send the pictures to the guy to develop them (if they're successful shots), and ditch the whole 3 picture limit altogether.

Judging by the amount of film in it based on that screenshot it can take a lot of photos. Looks like 6 frames per slide, 7 slides. 42 pictures if confined to laws of reality.

You'll have to upgrade the camera like everything else in the game.

The first camera you have holds one picture and requires Link to set up a tripod:

The one in the screenshot is the "Polaroid" upgrade.

The last camera upgrade is a cellphone that you can also use to call your bird.

I'm not so sure that's film.

But when compared to this, it does look like that thing could be a camera.

You're skipping it for the art style? Seriously? I just... UGH! You don't deserve good games.

Come again?
It's a gameplay mechanic, it's all but confirmed at this point, has nothing to do with the story.

Silent realm, google it.

You forgot to mention that the cell phone upgrade requires link to sell his 3DS and adopt a pessimistic outlook. Everything comes at a cost.
And the price for the upgrade is 599 Rupees with a two year contract.

The game was never teased as a game where Link didn't have his sword.

Aounuma merely said there would be parts in the game where Link doesn't have his sword which would be referring to the silent realm in the game.

Came here to say goodbye SS's threads, two month before release, I start my blackout to be able to enjoy the game without major spoilers.
See you in december after my playtrought, enjoy the next Legend of Zelda, GAF!

It would of been a pretty lame game like that,

He's probably inferring that based on the first artwork we saw of the game, which was Link without a sword and Phi. People almost immediately made the correct assumption based on Phi's appearance that she was the Master Sword and soon there was fan art of Link swinging Phi at enemies by her legs.

I really should do this too. I already know more than I would like. Not sure I have the willpower, though.

I saw a video of the Demon Lord boss fight. He animates very, very nicely. The way he stretches out his hand to catch your sword is fantastic and I also like how his eyes follow you even as you run behind him. I do have problems with the game already as I can already see where they are going with the difficulty and it is just not there. His attack patterns are disappointing to say the least. It is unfortunate because I could totally see how they could make it a much more fun boss fight. He charging slash should be unblockable(or maybe blockable only at the last second, parry style) and not be an easy way to get a bunch of hits in. He should safely attack or lunge after back-dashing or teleporting. And yeah, players have way too many hearts. The person I saw could make like 7 mistakes in a row, gets hearts from jars, and still be okay(way fewer hearts would add tension to getting hearts from jars). Combine this with how slow the combat is(long moments where no one is doing anything or Link can run around doing nothing) and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It could improve greatly as the game goes on(after all he is only "testing" you it seems), but I severely doubt it given the series's history.

I want them to make a hard mode to really push the systems they are adding to the limits.
