I didn't have a choice but to upgrade. Luckily the PS3 has an option to turn off the rumble feature in the OS rather having to turn it off every game like with the PS2. Much better.
I havnt bought a Dual Shock 3 yet either, so i am still using the old SixAxis controller that included with my 60GB PAL PS3 that i bought in late 2007
2 controllers were included with my PS3, and i have pretty much worn out the analog sticks on one of the controllers (they still work, but they are pretty loose), and the analog sticks on the 2nd controller is starting to get a bit loose as well. I guess that i will buy a Dual Shock 3 controller when the analog sticks on the 2nd controller is getting pretty loose as well. Unless if i can find some new SixAxis controllers that are cheaper, but i guess it wont be easy to find new SixAxis controllers for sale today, at least not in the general electronic and/or gaming stores:\
I dont really miss rumble either. I have gotten so used to the SixAxis controller without rumble, so i think it works fine to play without rumble
not amazing at all. I can switch between playing the 360 and the ps3 (with sixaxis) and pretty much dont mind it at all. And I just got my ps3 like 3 weeks ago.
I pretty much don't get the fuss over rumble. Don't miss it at all. I don't even notice it missing when I play. In fact, I am planning to switch over to playing on the PS3 as my main system, with its free online and all that.
