Amazing Spider-Man teaser LEAKED

I seriously feel like we have gone over the fact that this isn't an origin's story at all like a billion fucking times now on various Amazing Spiderman topics. The teaser did a poor job of saying that, but that's what comes with editing a teaser....

Well that's one hundred percent Sony's fault so why are you venting at the people in this forum?

If the teaser suggests an origin story Sony are the ones who dropped the ball.

Do they have time to recast and reshoot the whole thing in two days?

*CHORTLE*

I'm hoping the first person bullshit was just for the teaser.

If it was that might be a problem in and of itself. The producers looked at the footage available to them and decided that they needed to add some 'custom CGI' to make things more 'exciting'.

Not a big fan of the cast to be honest, Emma Stone is good, and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben is pretty awesome. But then again he'll die in like half an hour or so.

At least Spiderman 2002 had;
James Franco
Willem Dafoe
Jk Simmons

I'd take them over the others(except Martin) anytime

ok, so i was wrong, I'll admit that about my first comment, but that still isn't what Spiderman was ever meant to look like. He's always been a lanky kid. What they did with the first round of Spidey films was hokey and dull.

And Maguire whether or not he put on weight for the 2nd film still was the worst image of a peter parker ever produced. Never once did I buy him as a college kid or someone who would be capable of super human feats and no I didn't say Garfield is better, I can't say that ;haven't seen the film, but at least right now what I know is he at least looks the part.

Spiderman got buff in the original comics and was so for almost 30 years of comics. It wasn't till around the 90's that artists started to draw him as a more thin individual when Bagely, McFarlane, etc were drawing him. Just look at much of the old spider comics, and he was much thicker and muscular.

Simmons was a perfect cast imo

Seems to me like it could be an ending shot. Didn't they use a similar spidey swinging shot (though not in first person) for the endings for the first two movies?

I don't understand why they're (seemingly) retreading so much ground with this. Was there really no other way to introduce Gwen Stacy than through Spider-Man's origins?

He basically has to, since it's Uncle Ben's death that pushes Peter to fight crime and whatnot. It's a crucial part of the character's origin.

Now Spider-Man has to be gritty and emo as well?
I... what? What does 'emo' mean in the context you are using it? Emotional? Having hair that isn't combed? Having a funny looking face?

And Parker looks awful, he doesn't look like a nerd, he looks like a Twilight reject.
He looks like a (Hollywood portrayal of a) high schooler. He doesn't look exceptionally nerdy, no, but then nobody really does these days. Spiderman in the comics doesn't look super-super-nerd.

Nope. She's his first love. It's pretty much origin-only material, Spiderman 3's godawful take aside.

Now THAT my friends...is a fucking Spider-Man movie.

Indeed, I couldn't hear much of what was going on but I liked it.

I got a strong twilight vibe in the beginning though.

LOL can't believe you guys like maguire so much, he's such a ...yeah he's maguire.

This trailer has compelled me to go back and watch Spectacular Spider-Man in the proper order to make up for this trailer's chronic lack of quips. Fun times

Ah yea, I was thinking of it just from the point of view from the enemies we've heard on screen and forgot that he could really die from anyone like the original Spider Man that was later retconned to not just be anyone :lol

That was weird.

And the first-person sequence looked bad, even in that crap quality it looked really unnatural.

I think you nailed my number one issue with it.

The tone was all wrong for Spider-Man. Hopefully this is just a teaser to attract the Twilight/Dark Knight fans and the real fun will be in the first trailer.

Even though the third movie went off the deep end with the camp, I had always enjoyed the lighthearted tone of the movies. At least the first two movies managed to blend that well with the dramatic parts. I think the movies had a brighter look to them also.

Here it's like I'm watching a trailer for a Twilight movie.

I thought the trailer was amazing! the CGI POV at the end looked a little rough to me but hopefully thats just because it's early and well because it was bootleg.

I'm surprised by how dark this looks, I hope we get some damn spider-man jokes and quipage!

What the shit? This teaser makes it seem like exactly the same as the first Raimi movie but with a different cast, except it seems even more humorless. Why can't we have a cocky, smarmy, capable Spider-Man, a la 90s Spider-Man TAS? And why can't he be funny??! He's supposed to be funny!!! Fuck.

I liked every bit of that, except for the Mirrors Edge bit. Hopefully that will look better and more realistic on the big screen.

Obviously this sort of low quality teaser is the worst was to showcase effects, but that looked like it could have been PS2 era videogame FMV. Not a fan of the camera work at all.

Awful teaser, the first person stuff looked terrible. I think the cast is fantastic but I really don't want to see another origin film.

Cool, finally some Mirrors Edge DLC! Graphics look bit ruff though.

Oh wait, this is a OT Spider-Man topic. I guess I am hyped about this, but I liked Sony's Spider-Man 1&2 a lot too

Not exactly what I expected, but I won't go in full hate mode, until I see the first trailer (in HD). Still better than the DKR teaser.

First half of that teaser was bad. Put Twillight into my Spider-man. The whole origin shit is fucking dumb too since they even said this will be Peter during college already kicking ass and taking names.

They should of just taken the mirrors edge moment and made that it's own teaser. Would of been better and a actual tease.

yeh, so hopefully the movie doesnt feel so dark, but everything in it looked like shit. only saw garfield trying to act for a bit, but when he did try, he sucked. mirrors edge thing was fucking stupid and costume looked fuckawful. i knew this shitty director would fuck this up, cant wait for another reboot a la hulk.

oh yeh, so we get to experience peter losing his parents and his fucking uncle in the first half of this film? fucking depressofest

Oh ok.

I never got a Spiderman vibe from that teaser. Also a little disappointed with the bite scene - was done so much better in Spiderman 1. i'm also tempted to comment on the acting but this is just a teaser so its not fair, but the point of a teaser is meant to excite - this didn't.

Whole trailer was meh, first-person segment was awful (terrible CG for 2011), part of the final movie or otherwise.

Though that may be because of the bad quality.

I doubt that this will be in the final movie but dude, it comes out in March 2012, they are right in post production (and have just begun).

New Spidey looks like a total swarmy asshole. Where'd they find that douchebag?
....it's fascinating when some Gutmenschen are talking about douchebags, etc.
Really fascinating.

Andrew Garfield is awesome. But hey, okay... I'm sure you know him in real life.

(Wow, at all these Batman/Nolan suckers here)

I haven't seen the teaser yet, but I truly hope it looks good.

I hated the Spiderman film trilogy. I'm probably the only one, but I abhored it. I love Spider-man and I love Raimi, so why it sucked ass I don't know.
