Amazon (Finally!) shipping video games internationally

Dear Amazon.com Customer,
Amazon now has the hottest new video games available for delivery to your country. International customers can enjoy Amazon's Pre Order Price. If the Amazon price drops between your order time and release date, you will receive the lowest price.

ABOUT DAMN TIME! My poor credit card. Still, my DS will be happy. I cant believe it's taken this long for this to happen.

PS: Any of you yanks who want to complain about how expensive video games are and you can only afford to buy three new games this week can **** right off now thanks.

PPS: I searched, delete if old, move to OT, etc, etc.

I got this email a couple of months back and then when I went to try ordering last week I was refused shipping on a PSP and PS3 title.

Yeah, I just got this email today. Good news with the weak dollar. Although I'll have to figure out if it's worth it with the shipping..but it's nice to have another option.

If shipping to Canada is less than 10 dollars that would be rad. Do they do super saver shipping internationally?

Oh wow, this is awesome.

That said, right now Tronixweb are sending me Wii games in 3 days for $10. Does Amazon come close to that speed?

No. However, if they actually do ship, they will ship without Customs, and with no tax, so it would balance out.

oh wow, that's awesome, thanks man, i can finally have them ship my games to my address in the UAE without using a forwarding service.

ans btw, i also order games from Barnes & Noble...which gets their games from EB games/Gamestop.

EDIT: DOH'!!!! i just changed the address of my current amazon address and it said cannot ship those items(video games) to international addresses. :(

As long as they don't charge stupidly high prices for shipping (i.e. 50 dollars for one DVD), I'll be quite happy.

I never had any problems either with Amazon marketplace or ebay. The problem with official looking packages like amazon you often have to pay VAT at european customs.

price of games seems sucky. ebay + other stores seem to do better.
yeah, just tried to preorder Bioshock, they already put VAT on it, so at least there isnt really a price advantage

(price on amazon.com incl. shipping & VAT = 50.73 Euros, amazon germany price incl. shipping 49.95 Euro)

VG+ still seems better. No customs, quick deliveries...
Have you shopped at Amazon yet? How do you know VG+ is quicker or as quick? Also competition is a good thing, VG+ has had pretty much a monopoly over NA/CA gaming imports.

Irrespective, Amazon has some good deals from time to time. Being a large retailer they'll probably be very transparent with regard to the item's value on the package. So you'll get your country's tax more than likely.

Anyone got postage yet?

If this means Amazon.com will ship games to Japan, you just made my night. :D

If not, then f*** you for getting my hopes up. >:(

I THINK this works for Japan.

I attempted to order a PSP game at $29.95, it let me go through with it with shipping/handling at $8.47 (it would bar me from purchasing it before getting this far in the past). However, I can't think of anything I want to buy at the mo :/

Hmmm, what games and where?

Checking out Beyond the Sword it says this:

Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses. For APO/FPO shipments, please check with the manufacturer regarding warranty and support issues.

For those in the UK I hear good things about movietyme.com too - quick delivery, low prices. Nowhere near as good as a selection as VGP, though.

Can we get the title changed to 'Amazon still not shipping games internationally' ? I got really excited for a minute there until I tried it.

Yeah, same here. How is it that they are allowed to make such claims without including any sort of disclaimer?

*** We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order by changing its quantity to 0 and clicking the update button below. ( See geographical restrictions.) ***

Disappointment total. This thread fails.

Damn it, you got my hopes up only to find the truth smashing it to pieces again. :lol

Some DS games I wanted also fell under the shipping restriction. :/

They would have shipped to me (germany), no problem, it just wasnt worth it...but the thread delivers

I wanted Amazon.co.jp and Amazon.co.uk to ship to the US. :(

I want some PC games from Japan and most stores are insanely expensive compared to Amazon.

I wanted EDF2 from UK, but it seems like they're sold out anyways.

Which games did you try? I tried Jeanne D'arc and Persona 3, and they don't ship either to Austria.

Wait, Amazon.com doesn't ship to Canada. :( I don't think the price would have made much of a difference anyways after shipping charges.
