Just spoke to a guy at Amazon who said that they are waiting for delivery from overseas. It will take over a week to arrive.

Amazon UK messing up Zelda pre-orders

Is there any chance that they will never get the stock? Is this unheard of?

My preorder (which I got in Jan) is pushed to the 7th but got another email a day later giving me £5 credit and to be able to buy the download code for the same price as the disc version.
Soooo...since I don't know when (though it still says Tuesday when I go to my account), I went to Argos today and picked up a copy.
If I get my Amazon copy, I'll sell mine to my buddy in case he never gets his.
I don't remember the exact item I was getting, but Amazon ended up giving me another £5 one time cause something I preordered, they kept delaying and eventually said 'nope'. So unfortunately, not unprecedented, but I wouldn't hold out hope. It's Nintendo, master of stock fuckery, all the way from the N64 launch. They'll get them in eventually.

My copy of Zelda (Switch) was dispatched on Thursday for delivery on Friday - still no sign of it, so much for 24hr delivery! Would have just paid a bit more for an Argos copy if it wasn't for them assuring me it would arrive Friday, and then Saturday...
Currently have a Switch sitting here with no games for it. If it doesn't show tomorrow I'll assume its lost and be look for another copy / seek a refund

If it does show up get a refund on the delivery.
I have Prime, and I still can't get pre-orders on time. Yet all my Best Buy.ca stuff arrives day-of-release. Horizon didn't show up from Amazon until I literally had just got my Switch in the mail, and I'm just going to have to toss that in the backlog because no way am I missing out on Zelda right now.

Amazon just emailed to let me know that my Zelda Wii U pre-order now has no fulfilment date. It's now selling for £60 elsewhere. I doubt this is entirely Amazon's fault to be honest, Nintendo are terrible at estimating stock.
365games seems to be the cheapest at the moment, and as I hadn't logged in for a while I got a fiver off too (£43.99) - might be worth a look?

Mine too. To be honest, I had other things to play so a few days delay for a fivers credit was fine. All in all it'll only have cost me about £25.
I'm visiting her on thursday so that's a good timing.Argos have it for the same price (£48.99). I've reserved a copy from my local store but it won't be ready to collect until Thursday.

Just bought it from Argos. You can find stores with stock by searching on their online shop. All I had to do was drive back from work and pick it up. It beats waiting and checking my email to see when Amazon will even give me a delivery date. Installing right now.
Update on my Zelda Switch pre-order!
After 3 working days of no attempted delivery by Royal Mail, I received a call from our delivery office (following a voicemail I left Saturday morning) informing me that they would investigate the issue and that if it doesn't arrive tomorrow morning it may be worth popping in during the day (which as luck would have it I will be in that area tomorrow).
Sounds like I can at least get it resolved, right? Well until the update on my tracked order at 18:40, showing that it has checked in to the Outward Mail Centre. It's now going backwards. I want to get off this wild ride...
Unfortunately stores in the local area are now completely out of stock...
