Not a problem, glad to be of help! I'm leaning heavily on the $19.99 plain one myself as my case until Waterfield releases one of their own. After looking at the official Nintendo case I have preordered, I'm just not feeling it especially since I want to try and fit the Hybrid Cover in one of these. Hori's Tough Pouch is the only real contender to RDS Industries in my opinion. PDP has great visual design, but the protection and build quality seems shoddy.

I read that Walmart may still be taking pre-orders in-store at the pick up desk. Might want to give them a try.

Any word on tempered glass screen protectors? I thought I saw one perhaps from the EU accessories leaked pictures.

There's one on Amazon, but the shipping window is pretty crap. It shows that the item would arrive anytime between March 29 and April 10.

The only consolation is that it's reasonably priced and includes more than one just in case you mess up.

The Premium Hori Screen Protector doesn't seem to be tempered glass, but I could be wrong. The price is hefty ($19.99) and it seems to be just the one, so you better get it on correctly without issues.

Both should be the same price since Amazon is now including taxes in Utah (which really sucks...) so I am leaning towards the GameStop preorder due to already having money on it.

That one's not bad too. I don't know for sure, but I feel like the Zelda special edition case is also made by PDP. It looks very similar in build design to their cases like this one.

If that's true, I'm really glad I didn't bother going for the special edition or a PDP case. The case looked gaudy and cheap on the Treehouse stream and not worth the tacked on price.

I think either option works since they don't seem to be trading or selling them for profit. If anything, the "Free to a good home" thread would be most appropriate.

Never heard of Snakebyte personally. Is it a known brand? The other one I linked has a pretty good reputation with smart devices.

As for Hori, I figured as much, but you never know. Definitely not worth the asking price then.

Nope never heard of them either haha. Probably gonna get the cheap Hori for day one, and use that while I am waiting for the Orzly tempered glass to show up. Going this route still comes in at the same price as the Hori Premium.

Eh, I doubt it personally but you never know.

Importing a Neon copy could be an option for people though since the system is region free and looks to allow multiple region accounts on the system itself.

The latter most likely. Stock levels seemed pretty conservative which is par for the course with Nintendo.

Well Nintendo did say they only have 2 million available at launch. But I imagine they are ramping up production and will have them on store shelves on launch day too.

I expect we'll see a good number of Switchs available the following weeks after launch, but I'm not too optimistic about availability anytime before and on launch.

I hope I'm wrong since I want people to get their orders in, but it's hard to gauge Nintendo.

Yeah I'm getting it for my kids. They're almost 4 and wouldn't stop giggling at the few videos I showed them. $37 with tax at BestBuy with the gamer club and visa checkout deal so not too bad.

Well, Nintendo's generally good with accessibility, but I can't say for sure if 1, 2, Switch means they're approaching the visually impaired with more focus. It's nice, but it also screws over those hearing impaired instead of visually impaired.

Some mini-games in 1, 2, Switch are largely audio based whereas others seem to rely on pretty much nothing but you reacting to the Joy-Con or your opponent.

It'll be a hit with kids and casual folks, but I don't think it will have legs or attract much attention like Wii Sports and similar products did.

It's definitely not targeted to folks who hang out on internet forums or gaming boards. It'll get a cult following for the meme potential alone though.

Yeah they had it open too long, definitely. I didn't stay up the night of the announcement and Target was the only option. They had both consoles up until 11 EST or so that Friday and kept the grey one up a few hours after that.

Maybe they don't have a system in place for that? I'm not familiar with Target's pre-order history. I'd imagine you'd need some amount of tech on the backend to have a queue system and to track how you'll fulfill those orders as supplies come in. Perhaps easier for them to just say, "Cancel the order," and take the unhappy customer now rather than tracking everything and fielding complaints about when an order will be fulfilled. Not sure though.

Damn, I didn't even think about that. My dad is visually impaired, he was never a gamer but maybe we could play some of this mini games a couple times.

Supposedly the Neon version of the SKU is being stocked in lower quantities at various retailers, so it's likely that was the case with Target combined with overselling.

It's also what has led me to believe Amazon probably won't be getting any or much at all.
