AMAZON US Switch up

I got mine and lost the Zelda limited edition with the Statue :/

Now Nintendo just give more games to play during the launch window.

Snagged my system as well. Was half asleep when they went live and hurried up and added a system with a two year $60 warrantly on top of it I didn't want. Was afraid to cancel the protection plan as it may cancel the whole order but luckily it was set up as a different sku on the same order so I went ahead and cancelled the protection plan and my initial pre-order is still good to go.

I also like that Amazon has actively targeted scalpers and are only allowing one system per account. :)

I've also got Zelda for day 1 pre-ordered as well through Amazon. :)
 
I was hoping Amazon would ship it internationally as it did with the PS4 but this is not the case. I pre ordered one anyway. Maybe they change this until launch or I will have to ship it to someone in the US and ask him to ship it to Brazil.

I am ordering one for me and a friend that can't order hers, so I need two. No scalping though, just wondering. If my preorder goes through I will cancel my Best Buy preorder
 
Got mine though I'll keep a look out for the colored version. I have that preordered at best buy but I'd rather get from Amazon.
 
yeah only gonna preorder if Neon goes up

Otherwise Best Buy is somehow cheaper for me, just by 3 bucks but still

I like it more than grey. I have so many black consoles sitting around already.

Plus maybe sometime down the line I'll grab the extra red/blue set so I'll have a set of red and a set of blue.

if you order 2 systems. one gray and the other is colored one, it will be considered 2 different systems ( different sku) and your order will go thro.

however you can't oder 2 units from the same color, amazon will automatically tell you that its not possible and its a limited quantity system. you should be fine as long as you ordering one gray and colored



I Do have a question I want to ask GAF tho, my bro lives in NY and when he ordered his system. he was able to change the shipping speed from standard days to free shipping ( extra days I know)

however I don't see such an option for me, I live in different state, when I made the order I only clicked on standard shipping . and I can't change the shipping speed. ( there is no box in the order page that says "edit your order ")

any reason for that ? I don't want to call the customer service and let them fuck things up just to save 4$ . just wondering

You should be able to edit your order. You can try from the Amazon app on your phone, or the mobile version of the website.
 
Is anyone else weirded out that they've kept pre-orders open for so long? I know it's late, but... dang. I hope they aren't going to have to back out on anyone's pre-orders.

I fully expect that there will be a smaller form factor later on, not only because that's Nintendo's M.O., but also since some people won't want to carry a device the size of the 6" Switch around with them. They've described Switch in the past as a new platform that can support different hardwares, so they'll probably cater future hardware revisions to fill gaps in the market for the current one.

The only thing that I can think of is that it is pretty late (early) so maybe they haven't had as much a rush as they normally might have?

edit: and just like that, they're now gone. Wow I must have been one of the last. Yikes.

I tried. only for the Switch I can't. I made an order about the Zelda Master edition ( without sword ) after, and I was able to change the shipping option.

The total shipping and everything costs 305$


anyway. who cares. 4$ for faster shipping. and its already sold out so I won't fuck up with anything. I will keep it this way

Honestly, just hold out a few months if money is a problem. Where are you based? Somewhere like the UK, it's bound to be available after the initial rush given the crazy price for system and controllers.

It's the middle of the night for almost all the United States and undoubtedly, alot of folks decided not to pre-order after the event showing.

That said, Amazon is the nation's largest online retailer so it's pretty safe to say they probably got the biggest allotment of systems for customers.

All of this is wrong. Plus everything Majoras mask 3D and non XL NN3DS got scalped hard.
