Yeah, I had Amazon email alerts set up for both the Switch and the Master Edition of Zelda and went to bed literally just minutes before both items went live, but I never received any emails about them being available (which I hope suggests that the bulk of Amazon's allotment for both has yet to've been made available.)

Picking it up in store on launch day is a big plus. Target had to ship it and I wouldn't get it jntil the following week

How will that work out in terms of your account region and eShop?
I'm not sure if things will be similar, but Target shipped my NES Classic (I pre-ordered as soon as it became available and got lucky) early and it arrived I believe a day before the official launch date. I think these stores tend to try and get the item to you on launch day. I have a Best Buy preorder and I'm hoping it arrives on the 3rd.

Best Buy places a hold immediately, but will post back within a week and fully charge on ship / pickup.
GameStop only fully charges when the order is shipped / picked up.
Yeah I don't understand why it's so easy to do it on bestbuy. Are they overestimating their stock or is nobody using bestbuy to preorder?

That's what scares me. I pre-ordered my Wii with Bestbuy back in 2006 and they didn't have enough stock to send mine when it came out. I mean, what the fck is the point of taking pre-orders if you can't fill them all?

The only other thing I can think of is Amazon and Walmart is releasing in short bursts while Best Buy is letting loose all at once. Walmart gone down and up.

But they say it's region unlocked, so there shouldn't be any problem?
Hopefully Amazon is doing short bursts, so far it's singular.

Just ordered on bestbuy. Amazon would have been my first choice. BBs site wouldn't even work right the first two times I tried to place the order.

I guess some reps are saying they aren't gonna post it as available for weeks for some reason? But maybe they just don't know what's going on. Looks like another rep said to watch the SKU closely. *shrug* it's anyone's guess at this point because they obviously don't inform their customer service reps.
If I can pre-order the neon at amazon(neon is my favored version) then I'll cancel my bestbuy pre-order so fast.
I suspect we're already hitting their launch shipment limits.
