Presumably it's everyone's last hope if you haven't pre-ordered a Switch by now. Well, outside of getting lucky when going to the stores in-person I suppose.
I will boycott them if they pull that shit again....

Hmm, the post about people receiving cancellation emails from Gamestop has me worried. I already have a back up...but it's also from Gamestop lol. It's not even necessarily a backup, I am just undecided between the Neon and Grey versions so have one of both from Gamestop. I will try to get a more secure backup from Amazon though, not holding out for a Neon.
P.S. in-stock alerts suck from the retailers. Received no alerts from Walmart or Amazon. If anyone wants to somehow "switch" pre-orders (one of my Gamestops for Walmart), I'd much rather get it from Walmart since I have like $160 worth of gift cards. Might be too risky and too much of a hassle though.

No chance I'm staying up on the chance it goes live tonight so I'll just keep the nowinstock alert going and turn up my ringer real loud lol
I have owned some of their 3DS stuff and it isn't bad. What I owned though seemed pretty thin. A few pages back though I mentioned that that case has some issues that the HORI one doesn't.
- There is no internal layer of protection from the zipper so it may scratch the system when opening and closing
- The game slots aren't covered (the HORI one is separated from the screen) and may scratch the screen when closed.
Also the HORI case is thicker material and should absorb shock a bit better.

I just notice that nowinstock does not have preorder and text alerts on by default. That could have sucked.
Because some accessories went up for sale today, and the Switch listing page merged the Gray with the Neon, and got much fancier.
Also because Neon has never been available on Amazon.

nowinstock doesn't keep me logged in, anyone know why? Trying it on mobile. I can't enable txt alerts (they don't support my country/carrier), and there doesn't seem to be a way to set rules or something on Android Gmail to only notify me about emails from a specific sender (and I didn't want it waking me up for every random email), so I hoped that BrowserAlerts would work on the site: I logged in, went to the browser alerts page, clicked the test button and sure enough it rings. It even continues ringing if I quickly turn off my phone screen after pressing they button. So I thought I'd leave it like that on my nightstand and hope it buzzes if/when an alert is triggered... But every time I go back to check the phone I find that it has logged me out and I need to login again (don't even save my email/password for some reason; Chrome on Android).

If you have Chrome on desktop, try the plugin VisualPing.

I preordered the HORI case, Zelda standard, and Blue-Blue JoyCons, wasn't sure about the JoyCons but I'll eventually need them and the Switch with both of them blue will look fantastic.
Now I'm waiting on the Pro controller, but I'm not 100% sure I'll buy it as I plan to use thw Switch on handheld mode mostly.

How were digital downloads on the Wii U? I'm planning on getting BotW digitally but am having dark premonitions of it taking hours to download over Nintendo's shit-ass network.
The last game I bought digitally on Wii U was that Sonic Lost World game. It took a good 3ish-4ish hours to download and I have a fast connection. Comparitively, the latest xbox one game I downloaded was Lost Odyssey and its 26GB took roughly an hour.

I'm looking for a good case to go with my Switch so it's going to be tough to chose between the two of these. I'm also debating whether or not if I need to grab a screen protector. I usually grab one for all of my phones so I'm leaning towards getting it for the Switch too
Does anyone have any opinions on the PDP screen protectors' quality? I usually go with HORI, but I want to apply one as soon as I get the system and it doesn't look like one is available from them. Are they as good as the HORI ones? I love the one I got for my 3DS.

I always downloaded big games in rest mode on Wii U but it wasn't TOO bad. Of course if you come home, unbox and set up the Switch and then hit "download" on Zelda it's gonna be the longest of your life

Their cheaper screen protector isn't on there yet.
Oh cool. I guess I'll hold for a bit and see what the options look like in February.
$20 is quite the steep price though. Is there an equivalent of this protector for 3DS? I'm guessing the one I have isn't made of the same material.

Yeah, no one has had the Pro controller up for preorder online, at least in the US.
I preordered a charger grip yesterday from Best Buy as back up. I'll cancel that if I can get a pro preordered probably. Though I'm mildly tempted to just stick with that and see how it feels as I doubt I'll need a d-pad anytime soon.
