AMAZON US Switch up

Nobody knows, we've been making bets on that every day for weeks now (and losing every time), but the first time the Switch went up on Amazon after the presentation it was 3 am. I think the Black Friday New 3DS also went up around that time too. So there does seem to be a pattern there. It might not even go up tonight at all anyway.

If only I'd stayed up past 3 the night of the Switch Reveal. Could have got that Master Edition =/

What did I miss? Why do people think something might be going up for sale tonight?

Hope mostly, but some people think it's based on a pattern.

If you must have a Pro Controller and don't want to stay up or mash the F5 button, it's actually cheaper to import the controller from Amazon Japan right now. I paid ~$65 including shipping after it got a price cut and delivery's made in 2-4 days via DHL Express.

It's unlikely Amazon will offer release date delivery on accessories, so it's pretty much the same wait regardless.

Wait, what's possibly going up? The neon Switch?

That's the hope I guess, since the Pro Controller is expected to go up tonight, some are hoping Amazon drops the Neon at the same time. I'm doubtful, I think we may not see the Neon on Amazon until much closer to launch, if at all before. Doesn't mean I'm not watching it every night like a hawk :P

Wished I had stayed up clicking frantically..

In my country, almost all shops that allow pre-order forces you to get 1,2 Switch + another game before you can buy the Switch. I am not sure if that is even allowed by Nintendo..

Gamespot in the US does it constantly. We see store bundles pretty often.

are you guys really gonna stay up for a pro controller, that should be widely available by the time switch is released? come on guys, controllers are usually very easy to find

This wasn't the case at all for the Wii U pro controller. Well, not from what I read anyway. A bit anecdotal, but I live in a small town, and even I almost had an issue getting one.

Does anyone know if the official Switch carrying case has room for a charging cable? I wasn't considering a case before but now that I think about it, seems like an essential item if I ever wish to take it anywhere.

Judging by the photos available so far, no, it doesn't. It's also likely it can't carry anything besides the Switch itself with the Joy-Cons attached. There's something that vaguely looks like a flap to store cartridges, but it isn't confirmed nor seems to be mentioned at all in product descriptions.

The other cases offered by PDP (Select Starter Kits Only) and RDS Industries seem to have ample room for cables or staps if you don't mind other options. There's also Waterfield down the road, but there's nothing concrete on their front at the moment.

If you mean like an AC adapter charger, then no chance. Especially not the official one. You will need one of those RDS ones or a messenger bag.

The Japanese page says it holds 5 games I believe.

Have my Amazon preorder and will probably just stick with it.

That being said my brain keeps asking do you really need this thing at launch considering the only game you care about with an actual release date is Zelda and you own a Wii U?

I'm not really interested in paying for Kart again and I'm iffy how much I'd play arms. Spalt 2 is just "Summer" and Street Fighter is not dated yet.

Maybe if I knew if all my virtual console shit would transfer over, and what other indie titles will hit in March that might help.

Idk idk... Wife just says to keep it.

Same situation too, except Im not going to double dip on kart and probabaly wont get arms or Splatoon. Im really only getting Zelda, maybe Snipclip. And my wife says I dont need it. But im not gonna be playing Zelda like some peasent!

Sounds like we are all in similar situations. Only want Zelda, won't double dip on Kart, don't care about anything else remotely. We'll, maybe snipperclips based on buzz, but not sure. Aside from that it's wait for Mario and hope some other offerings pop up in the meantime and hope eshop purchases transfer (Yeah right). I thought about canceling, but the wife knows my love for Nintendo and Zelda and thinks I should keep it.

We were both really hoping for an Animal Crossing. I bought her a Gamecube and Animal Crossing in college and she has been a fan ever since. Overall, I'm really just disappointed in the offerings coming over the next 9 months.

I'm pretty sure some things are going to be announced at E3. Maybe not for this year, but who knows. Not like Nintendo needs to rush to announce Holiday 2017 games.

Same boat as you, except Wife doesn't care either way.

You know what is awesome though? Nintendo has about 5 weeks to help solidify our choices.

Who the hell knows what info will come out in February, hopefully more stuff about VC and digital purchases etc from WiiU. And what ever other details emerge.

I have Zelda pre-ordered for WiiU, but could easily Switch it....

I am not entirely sold on the system and could easily wait for Mario. However, I (we since you are in the same boat) am under no pressure to cancel it now since Amazon doesn't charge till shipping.

Personally, I am waiting for more info from Nintendo, and I am thinking it may be better to put this money set aside to other stuff/hobbies. I gots enough games, and more good ones are coming on stuff I do own.

While I agree time is ticking and Nintendo still hasn't told us the eShop or VC lineup yet. Nor if any of our purchases carry over.

So, I was going to preorder Zelda and everything in the description says WiiU except the Boxart, is that ok?

Are you talking about Amazon USA?

This is probably the link to the Switch version of Zelda:

I swear I remember the product page being less wrong a week ago. I think it used to say "Switch" in the product title as well as having the correct image. The "Platform:" listing has always said Wii U, but even 1-2 Switch has that platform listing.

Yeah it used to say Switch in the title, and still does so in my order page.

It wasn't wrong last week, one day the site changed where all Switch editions of Zelda were selectable from each other's product page from a drop down box. Then one day the standard edition disappeared from the drop down of the other two editions and this whole mess started.

Has Amazon even created a dedicated Switch section under Video Games yet?

Nope. I was seeing that last night.

I think Amazon Germany does have a separate section.

WTF, it said Switch, it's the one I bought. If they send me a Wii U version I'm going to kill them. lol

LOL, that Zelda Switch page is a mess and a half. It definitely said Switch when I ordered it the moment it went up. It has always said "Platform Wii U", but the title definitely said Switch and the box art showed as much.

Get your shit together Amazon.

Yes, amazon USA, damn it, I don't want to risk it and get the WiiU version :/

While I want a d-pad, I will be using the Switch strictly as a portable which will make the controller useless. I'll just hold out hope they announce a Joy-Con with a d-pad soon.

Same I remember from the other discussion on this. I ordered the switch version link says I purchased wiiu version. Order details / invoice said I preordered the switch version lol. Damn it Amazon I may cancel it tho cause though it doesn't happen often my KH Amazon preorder came around 5pm instead of the usual 11-12 pm and .. yeah I'm not waiting that long if the system will be in my hands by 8-10am

Nice .hmmm sigh if only then 20% off Amazon preorders worked on controllers as well
