Why do we have to pay to see their game and then pay again to buy the game? Hell at least Activision paid a couple decent bands, set up a cool playground and gave everyone a copy of the hardened edition. Most people in S.F. would also have to pay for parking at the Metreon.

If you go with the insider route you're only paying once... If you don't want to pay $25 to see what's going on and partake then don't do it.

I was at the Chicago event for Uncharted 2 and it was awesome. At that event they gave us the game for FREE, and prior to showing up we didn't even know that was going to happen. I think it was a full week before release.

I'm pretty sure you'll get free stuff. They gave out a poster, one of those string packs, and a t-shirt. Plus they'll have prizes. Maybe Vita? They gave out a PSP Go last time and the U2 CE...that's like worth $3k

That's pretty much what I was thinking. They say they'll ship via FedEx but for all you know they could choose the slowest delivery method.

Ah. I was there on the second day and they had the physical prizes there already (systems and CDs). The actual game was a surprise to that day's goodie bag - as they had the bags but the Sony staffers had to go back and pick up the games.

It seemed that way, as far as the prizes go as my friend from Sony told me about day one but I had to tell them what they did differently for day two.
