Well that isn't good. No idea why this is happening

Eh, I finally got through on my fifth try. Have a confirmation e-mail for just one purchase, so I'm good to go. I'm a little confused as to what they're going to do to identify the $60 people who get the game early vs. the regular $25 people since there wasn't anything in the ticket buying process, but whatevs.

Very excited for this.

Hopefully I can order online. Don't really want to bart it out there just to buy tickets. I was planning to go on Wednesday. Hopefully by then they work out all the kinks from the event the night before.

Congrats. May be I will see you there. Got a Tuesday ticket?

For those of you who are skeptical of the cost, the 60 buck ticket is like getting the event free with the purchase of the game... which you get early.

Yup! Tuesday for me, I had to do Tuesday because I want to be the first of the first.

And seriously, anybody complaining about the $60 ticket is crazy. I was going to pay $60 for just the game anyway, now I get the game a week early, and get to go to an event where I may get even more awesome Uncharted stuff. I don't see a down side here.

How is everyone getting this to show up on movietickets.com? I tried searching for it, but nothing pops up :(

You have to go to a theater that's doing it, then search for the specific day. It worked for the DC location, but I dunno about the others.

I'm not going to the city to get the game a week early.

Looks like I wont be able to go :( It starts at 5PM.

You could probably just arrive late. Well, not sure how late....but maybe they'll let that fly. From what I remember, the U2 event was 5PM to like 11 PM. Though I think initially there was some PS3 issues

I dont usually get off work until 7PM and SF is about an hour drive away. Seems like I would miss out on most of the fun. I could essentially take the day off, but that would mean I couldn't have 11/1 off, and I rather enjoy the game with as few spoilers as possible.

Looks like tickets *just* appeared on fandango for NYC. Says 6:30pm. Think I'm going to do Wednesday.

Edit: It's hit Kotaku. Better act fast.

Purchased my ticket for San Francisco on the 19th. I'm actually rather happy I can just give my $60 to Naughty Dog rather than only $12 or whatever it was according to Pachter.

Got my ticket for the 18th at the Metreon.

Proof!

Dear Sony and AMC,

Tyson's Corner is not in Washington, DC. It's way the fuck out in Virginia. There is no easy way to get there from Washington, DC. There is a really nice 3D AMC multiplex theater in Georgetown, and there's an awesome single, 70 ft wide screen movie palace in Cleveland Park. It's 3D-capable, too, since you heathens ripped out the old 70mm projector. Next time please choose one of those, instead of some giant mall out in the burbs.

Love,
jcm

Also, at the AMC site, it says they will not deliver the game to a P.O. Box, and you must be at the residence to sign for your shipment of the game :-/

And when I further contemplate the idea, I just don't feel like driving or catching a metro to VA, and pay $60 just to watch someone play the game on a big big screen.

But this urge to own it a week early... It beckons me!

Mmm.....having second thoughts on this for a moment since I don't money to burn for now. Especially for me to go into NYC will cost me about another $60 for gas and parking and I'm just going by myself to boot. But my birthday is Thursday, Oct. 20. Hmmmmmm

$25 seems like a lot to ask of people to go preview a game for 3 hours. I'm half tempted to go on the gamble that they will give some stuff out that's worth more than admission price.

a friend and i got our tickets for nyc on wed. Didn't think i was gonna get UC3 right away but i love industry events. Plus a game in the mail for me? shweet

so once you arrive you have to fill paperwork to get the game shipped to you? how long does that take?

Last year they just surprised everyone and gave U2 to all in attendance.

Just got tix for Wed NYC as well, gonna see if some co-workers wanna join me.

Might go to the tysons one. Not quite sure though, I'd think it would be a little weird to go to a theater to watch gameplay of a video game. Especially since it is a theater I go to a lot.

fiiiiiiiinally showed up for LA on movietickets....but its grayed out. Does that mean I'm screwed and its sold out?
You could always check Fandango to see if it's the same deal otherwise, you might as well call customer service to see if they do have the tickets in the system.

I hate how people consider that DC, like how they consider the Gaylord Convention Center (in National Harbor, MD) to be DC. Although it is technically the Washington area since it surrounds the Beltway.

Anyway, I'm glad it's at Tysons Corner because it's easy to get to from the Beltway for us Maryland residents. I dislike having to park at a Metro station, paying money for that and train ride, then having to deal with leave the Metro station parking lot (some are a pain in the butt).

Anyway, excited for this. :D

I really want to go but 6:30 on a weekday sucks; not knowing when its going to end. I would be all over this if it was a Friday or Saturday.
