AMC's Low Winter Sun (summer 2013) - first trailer

I'll definitely give this one a shot just for the cast. Been a huge fan of Lennie James ever since Jericho.

Not surprised it was originally a 2 part mini-series. The plot doesn't look like it can sustain 10 episodes let alone, possibly, an entire series worth of story.

The original was a bit undercooked. It could have benefited from 3 parts, but even then there was definitely room to play if they really wanted to expand things.

Eh, looks well made and acted but I was hoping for a show with a really strong and unique "hook" like breaking bad and walking dead have. this looks like pretty standard stuff.

"From the network that brought you The Walking Dead"
That's what worries me.

Mark Strong turning up to do television, especially for AMC, is very unexpected. But whatever, if he's in it, I'll give it more than a fair chance.
At least they won't blow their entire budget on zombie makeups.

AMC has started running some short teaser trailers for this, too.

I really do want this to be good, but I'm a little worried by how quick AMC is trying to fill in another morally ambiguous crime drama to replace for BB.

I want it to work, especially because Mark Strong is in it, but I can see this sorta fizzling out.

Mad Men trailer did nothing for me but was that canceled?

Are you trying to tell me this looks really good? And will turn out as good as Mad Men?

Yes, It could be great. And I'll be there watching every week. But that trailer smelled like shit.

I really want to see how this all plays out. The original mini series provides a lot to work with, but so far from what I can see there are some major differences that can really change how things go. I hope the next month goes by quick.

There will be a free sneak peak of the first episode and Q&A session in Ann Arbor (7/29).

I will be there for sure.

I recently noticed that AMC does shows that revolve around cops in a way. (In the case of TWD its main character was a cop.)

Kinda getting over it.
