WE KNOW

I agree, I like this kit:

Wait, aren't home kits supposed to be colorful and away kits white to allow the home team to express their colors? It's one of those unwritten gentlemen's rules. I think USA got it backwards.

Reminds me of France.

France are Les Blues -- as you'd guess, they essentially only wear blue tops.

I think everyone, certainly at least the fans, prefers the Centennial crest but it is what it is. I like the away kit especially when paired with the red shorts and socks. It's pretty eye-catching. There have been some complaints about Nike using a different blue than the traditional navy we've used in recent years, but it wouldn't really fit with this design so I'm glad they didn't.

Here are some others for those curious.

Collars look dumb on athletic gear, unless it's tennis or golf.

And why do only the home jerseys have collars? Is that a convention for soccer uniforms?

a rattlesnake? i bet 99% of americans have never even seen a real live rattlesnake. what a completely ridiculous animal to associate your national football team with.

Moving past the fact that you don't understand the historical reference: How many Americans have seen a "real live" bald eagle?

Just depends on the design for the year really. For instance, the team I support buttons up on the away shirt but is the traditional rounded collar on the home.

The previous year had a polo style collar though for the home and none for the away. A lot of the fans seem to dislike them typically. I don't mind too much personally.

I do agree that the shirts should be "Red, White, Blue" from top to bottom rather than bottom to top.

Even so, really, people? In a sporting context, and especially when it comes to national football/soccer, France = Les Bleus.

As weird as it may sound, you should never associate the ordered colors of Blue, White, and Red with France in sports, unless you're literally looking at a French flag. :P

They're becoming increasingly more populous. (There is no way that is proper grammar/word use) I saw one flying overhead the other day while getting lunch in Columbus.

I have a hard time believing 99% of the country has never seen a rattlesnake…. am I totally wrong? (from west texas so prob)

^^ and yes the 94 kits should be the standard and worn every 4 years

There needs to be red/white stripes on the shirt/shorts all the way down instead of it stopping at the number and being all red.
