American Dad canceled, picked-up by TBS

Family Guy is basically, "Bland stereotypes say aggressively unfunny things until they do a cutaway to force a limp joke." The sad thing is that the show was pretty good before the first cancellation.

Those writers that worked in the early seasons went on to create American Dad.

Wait, some people wanted to cancel AD?

Jeez...
One of the funniest animated shows ever, glad it's being continued somewhere else!

Is it me, or has the show gone down in quality since the switch? I thought the Christmas episode was pretty good, but other than that, I've found the episodes to be pretty mediocre. Whereas when it was on FOX, not only was the show fucking HILARIOUS, but the stories were always great, too.

Anyone else?

LOL, I didn't even realize that it moved. I will catch them on Adult Swim.

Yes and no.

The show is definitely past its prime and the new episodes on TBS are not at prime-level Fox era.

However, the show was already on a decline on Fox and, if anything, the show is slightly better than where it left off on Fox.

Anyone catch the new episode? I thought it was pretty good. I felt like the carpenter/Jesus character was a callback to the episode "It's Good to be the Queen" where the side story features Steven and Roger delivering pizzas with a delivery guy who looked like Jesus and preached a peaceful and fulfilling ethos. I just checked the wiki and both Jesus-like characters are voiced by the same actor, actually.

But the best part of the new episode was Steve's gender confusion and all of his subtle and graceful roller blading.

I thought it was pretty hilarious, great episode

The last couple of episodes have been HILARIOUS (especially the most recent one with Jeff). I'm really happy about that because I didn't think that the season's earlier ones were all that great....and I LOVE this show.
