Josh and Colton have both worn out their welcome for me. They both sound like they're sick or someone is pulling their tail or pinching them in the ass or something. Just not feeling whatever it is that the judges are feeling, but then that's not new. These judges think everyone is fabulous, apparently.

Colton in particular has this thing where his voice cracks that makes me cringe every time it happens.
And I liked the performance, though I felt like her voice wasn't really quite big (or she doesn't have crazy projection, maybe) enough to get past the heavy instrumentation, if that makes sense.

Elise fucking killed it. I gotta get voting. That was easily -- by far -- the best of the night, and it was a pretty strong night.

This is why I DVR this show. Start it a little later, zip through commercials, DeAndre, and appearances by singers who struggle to actually sing.

Elise's performance was overrated but decent.
I thought Deandre was the best though many were really good tonight and I didn't see every single one(missed Skylar's, Heejun's).
Hollie is manufactured talent but perfect for Idol(not buying that it's turned into an artist show, doubt many of the ones that go on to make albums write their own songs).
It's going to be awkward to see who gets the boot as no one was really that bad.

I am with you on this. I was excited to see what songs they would sing and ended up not really liking any of the performances. I am disliking this season more and more each and every week.
I'd rather Heejun, Deandre, and Phil leave before we even get to Hollie. She's in the same place Diana was in, where she is too young to connect to anything.

Not me. She's liked an even more flawed Xtina. I actually want to punch her in the throat when she is in her lower range, and then again when she is oversinging/pushing her belts. And I still like Xtina. (royalan, stop pinching me!)
She is like musical kryptonite.

I don't partake. Even though I've been clear about that, the attempts are made. It's like a swarm of testosterone fueled bees sometimes. At this point I call it being molested semi-jokingly. As long as it stays at grab ass levels, I can deal.
