American Idol - Season 5

I'm voting for Paris now. According to Dial Idol, she's receiving the lowest amount of votes (folowed by Pickler...which makes me smile :D)

Like i said, Paris needed it more. The other two deserve to be in the bottom three based on tonight's performances. Elliot should be higher.

You can text your vote ONLY if you have Cingular Wireless.

I have Cingular, so I'm going to send maybe 50 in for Paris (all I have to do is enter the number in 10 times and send it 5 times)

I'm not talking about in terms of regular pop stars. The show gets hype by claiming they choose the best singers each time and for the most part they've been right up to this point. Seeing Kellie win would be hilarious though, especially for Simons comments at the end when he usually says "I really believe America picked the correct person".

Especially in Kellie's case because I'm sure the people that are voting for her are the ones who think she's this extremely innocent girl.
 
have they done the two phone number per contestant thing before? I don't remember ever seeing that before, I wonder if it's done to throw dial idol off.

They do it every year. Since they originally had 12 contestants, it would only make sense to devote 2 lines for each contestant now that they're down to just 6.

I don't think they give a rat's ass about dial idol. More numbers = less busy signals. Less busy signals = more money.
 
Elliot was awesome. I can't believe the guy is deaf in one ear! I hope he makes it to the final two, but I don't know if he will.

Kellie is obviously dead inside, and needs to get kicked off ASAP. If Paris is off tomorrow instead it'll be a shame.

I do think American Idol will start to care about Dial Idol (if they don't already) if it continues to get it right with the voting.
 
Well, FreMandle Media already had the site shut down earlier in the finals (alleging copyright infringement regarding their logos and whatnot), but 6 days later, it was right back up.

Doesn't it cost money to vote though? I don't know 'cause I never have but I could've sworn that you had to plunk down some change to cast a vote.

Kellie is okay i personally think but today.. holy shit.. Robot no emotion and didnt move a finger while singing tonight. Worst performance of the night most definetly.

I also thought Taylor didnt sing very good tonight.

Elliot and Chris sang the best for sure.

Randy says: "Yo dawg, wussup? Okay. You know, it started off kinda weird there for me in the beginning. But then you seemed to figure it out, and you pulled it together in the end for me."

Paula says: "You know what? You're great. And you know what else? America knows your great. You're going to do great things in the world."

Simon says: "That was absolutely wretched. That was the worst performance I've ever seen in my entire life. You know what? It reminded me of a performance that belongs in a shoddy bar. I have no idea what we were thinking when we allowed you into this competition." or, alternatively, Simon can say (in the case of Paris), "That was weird."

Carrie is oing really well in country music. Although I don't think that was really what American idol set out to do. They're looking to create a pop star and so far only Kelly has become one.
 
New elimination groups tonight:

Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer, will be splitting them into three different groups: the top 2, the middle 2, and the bottom 2.
