This is the first time Simon has not stood up for the winner.
I get why though. Kris got into the finals when he was supposed to be fodder and overcame all the early judge favorites to win it all.

and Mimc, Kris' win is probably more of a "not Adam" rather than a "pro-Kris". I hope this doesn't hurt Kris in the long run.

Yeah, this really felt like more of an anti-Adam vote than a pro-Kris vote. You could tell that Kris didn't even believe he had won, and he even said "Adam deserves this." Simon stayed sitting down and was obviously not pleased with the result either.
Regardless, it was all very entertaining, and the upset made it that much more interesting.

And nearly 50 Million people think like you "cheebs"... I could care less on what he is, I care more about his studio presence, voice and stage presence and not about his sexuality... Which in the end i guess they voted for because of the ambiuguity. Sad to see but dont think for not one min that this wasnt a poltical move and not one based on actual skill and Im on the right in most of my issues...

It seems like it's a legitimate debate. (in Internet land, pretty much anything is) Gokey got ousted because Christian voters likely chose one or the other, which split the vote, pushing Adam into the finals.

Yes! Kris Won! But his last song was that terrible one written for him. :lol
If Adam lost because of anything it's because he was the anointed one since the beginning. The second Gokey went home, Adam winning became a 'lock'. And if there's one thing America LOVES on these types of shows it's a underdog. Kris was the biggest underdog in the shows history against Adam and that only hurt Adam and helped Kris.
