Why does everyone hate Florida?

As a person that lives in Florida I would probably blame the 2001 elections and the fact that since we are such a big state we have some dumb trashy people that become FLORIDA MAN. So basically it's state of elderly people and rednecks which is only true for certain areas. I haven't actually done any research or looked at demographics but I would say since I live in a college town the major cities are at least pretty diverse.

Aldo during the summer the weather turns to complete ass, it rains and ruins my crappy Internet. My computers and game consoles have been ruined twice due to lightning. And it is also humid and hot during the summer. The other seasons though, pretty nice if you dislike snow.
