Anal Fissure- Just kill me

Well my life seems awesome all of a sudden.
Let me echo liquid diet. My dad had an ulcer and survived on gatorade only for a week. Should be enough time to give your ass a fighting chance.

I end up taking like 5 hot baths per day to stop the pain plus I put Nitros up my ass for the pain.

Heating pads help tremendously when you sit down. Better than taking a bath every few hours.

I had this. Hospital treated me wrong (they thought I had hemroids) and their treatment only made things worse. Couldnt do nothing for a month, so much pain, they had to get me on a high dosis of oxycontin so I was high as a kite for a month so I wouldnt feel the pain.

Eventually found a specialist who injected botox in my ass. Yes, botox. This made me better. In a few weeks I was practically cured. I mean, my ass will never be the same, on bad days (when I have to shit a lot) it will still feel sore, but its so much better than it was before.

Yeah, anal fissure is one of the most painful things you can get in life and its never really really over.

I had something similar to an anal fissure a couple months back. I was bleeding every time I took a shit. There was a thing that was relatively deep inside my asshole that was about an inch long and "rubbery", kind of like a little uvula inside my arse.

Welp, I finally went to a doctor about it and he put a shot inside my asshole (so incredibly painful), called in a young brunette nurse to hold my ass cheeks apart, and he snipped the thing off with scissors and put it in a baggie.

It sucked ass (heh), but man it was nice to finally get that thing out.

This reminds me of that thread where the discussion was about an anal abscess. Not nearly as bad as an anal fissure but it enlightened me as to what had happened to me years ago. I had suffered from it for several weeks but luckily it eventually cleared up and have never had a recurrence of it (glad to know what I had experienced though I only found out years and years after the incident what it was that I had had). I hope I never get an anal fissure *shudder*

This thread.... omg this thread

No matter how down I'm feeling I will always feel blessed that I don't have these problems. And I've been getting annoyed with a rash.... I've never had anus troubles but I did get bit in the dick by a centipede once.

Godspeed to all of you

Holy shit, does it hurt! I've had one for about 3 months and it's not getting better. I have Ulcerative Colitis and am in an active flare right now and can't get better. I jsut started Simponi and I hope that helps. I end up taking like 5 hot baths per day to stop the pain plus I put Nitros up my ass for the pain.

Anybody else ever experience this? How long did it take to heal? I just want it to stop.

My wife has UC. It's a miserable world for all of us when she has a flare up. When she does, besides the medications prescribed by her GI doctor, she also takes a "probiotic' capsule called Florajen 3. It's not prescription but you have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter because it has to be kept refrigerated. It's also not cheap, but if it helps you get your guts in order then your asshole might have an easier time hearing edit: healing LOL. It's supposed to help get the right kinds of bacteria going in your intestines again (yogurt works too, but not as potent).

Good luck. I've seen how bad it is. I'm happy I can't say I 'know' how bad it is.

I had to walk near a mile with one of these, and it was one of the worst things ive ever had happen to me, ever.

ulcerative colitis is a disease from hell. I can't live with it anymore. To make things worse I also have tinnitus plus constant headaches.

Part of the problem might be your focusing on it due to the pain you are experiencing. I know this is difficult, but try not to spend too much time thinking about your bowel movement every day, apparently it is something that should come naturally and will be negatively affected by fussing over it.

You don't have any clue about Ulcerative Colitis.
It has nothing to do with the psyche. It will affect the patient's psyche, because it's a really horrible disease. And it's chronic. It's not possible to cure it at all. Please research it before posting stuff like this.

Research "phosphatidylcholine".
I have this crap as well. And the thing above rescued my life (and I'm absolutely fine now, although I was one of the worst cases country-wide - I got the official study medicine back then). Approval trial study is supposed to start next year. And it seems they want to get it approved in EU + US at the same time. Gladly a pharmacy in Germany creates a substitute for years now. The latest one is called SpongiCol and is freely available. My health insurance even pays the costs.

Ass problems are the absolute worst.I had an Anal fistula operation in June- and it took a good 4-5 months to fully recover from it. You really take for granted the simple tasks that you were able to do on a daily basis

Okay, so I wasn't going to mention it in my previous post cause I didn't want to freak you out...but....Yeah, (In short) my brother ended up getting his entire colon removed and now has a J-pouch. He is fine now and can eat whatever he wants.

the fuck is a j-pouch?

And if his colon is removed does that mean he can't have colon cancer?

The Kevin Smith story about his anal fissure is one of the funniest things I've heard, especially since he tried to get advice about it from his gay brother (who would know about all things related to anal health lol).

But dude, I'm sorry man!

I had a situation like this a few years back. It hurt a ton to poop, and the toilet paper would be bloody afterwards. Sitting and standing were fine but everytime I pooped it felt like I was giving birth. It hurt so fucking bad, dude.

Went to a proctologist and he tells me I had an anal fissure. Honestly it was so long ago I don't recall if he gave me medicine, or a cream, or whatever but luckily it went away on it's own and hopefully never to return!

My sincere sympathies, anal fissures are assholes!

Used to have this problem so much. It was the absolute fucking worse. While I hate my current job, it has the benefit of having long hours, which in turn has meant I've been eating less. Less food (in addition to eating better), less massive shits. No more rip and tear.

Modern medecine scares me. It's possible to remove the colon?? :o

You'd be surprised to know how destructive modern medicine can be, and how resilient the human body is.

A lot of procedures are also very common sense as well. Then again, there are others that are crazy (like MTF gender switch, turning a penis into a vagina; there is actually a video of this surgery on youtube).

Had a hemorrhoid last year for the first time ever. Age 25. A lot of people joke around about them, but if you've had one then holy fuck you know... you know. Started eating fiber in my diet regularly, that shit put the fear of god into me and I'll never get one again so help me.

Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
I can't imagine how terrible this is though.

I had one last year, had an ass like a baboon.

Cant say it hurt though, it was more uncomfortable and annoying than anything.

I've suffered maybe four or five fissure flare ups over the years. I'm currently suffering something similar where I have blood (bright red, so it's "shallow" blood and not way up in the colon) in my morning bowel movement, but am pretty clear the rest of the day. However, I don't have the terrible pain usually associated with a bad fissure, just minor soreness - so I'm wondering if this is actually an internal hemorrhoid this time and so not quite as bad. Not sure. I've made an appointment with my rectal doctor just to have a look at it though he didn't find anything serious the last time I was in for a fairly bad fissure.

I'm afraid the actual fissure will just keep recurring though, but you hear the horror stories about incontinence resulting from fissure surgery to help finally end a fissure, so I've not really seriously inquired about the potential for having it.
