Analysts mixed over Sony PS3 delay

wow so they are basically handing out their marketshare to MS without a fight!! Awesome

That's certainly not clear at all. Europe is by no means a strong territory for MS, and it's a very strong territory for Sony, as strong as Japan for them, in fact. I think they'd want to be less comfortable about "taking the territory for granted", if you want to put it that way, as regards Europe vs Japan, but PS2s and PSPs are still selling very well here.

It'd be interesting to watch for sure, though, to see if MS could capitalise more effectively on more time in Europe.

Games. Not Systems. That is what we should be concerned about. Whenever the PS3 comes out, there will be a new selection of games to look over and play. Until then, there are great games coming out on ALL systems, new and old. Can we PLEASE stop overexamining the "delay" of this system.

No the games will still be rushed (apart from all the 360 game ports), But as it stands we have no new knowledge on the PS3 as to what we had at E3 last year. So the speculation will continue, 360 ftw... for now

It's not really a delay, since it was never going to come out in the "spring" anyway.

Besides, this is a GOOD thing.
Now the system can launch with some finished games!
And they'll probably be better too - if developers were rushing to launch in this fictional "spring" time, now they have a few extra months to calm down, take a look back at how buggy their games are, and make them actually fun again! (as was intentially intended, I'm sure)
