I would think about what you've installed/uninstalled/changed between now and the last point everything was working. Failing that, try clear data/uninstall/reinstall on one of these games and see if that fixes said game. What tablet is this, and how much have you monkeyed around with the OS?

I have a Lenovo thinkpad tablet. I'm running adw launcher. It stopped working I think after I installed some games this weekend. But I've tried uninstalling them without any success. I keep getting a java.lang.NullPointerException error with a few games. Others work fine.

EDIT: I figured it out. It was the new market app. I installed it last week, but it made two markets instead of replacing the old one so I guess that's messed up or something.

While we're on this subject, how do you like it? I am amused by the Thinkpad branding on an Android tablet of all things, but the one review I read complained about the display/performance.

So my Xperia X10 broke, and my carrier gave me a free HTC Glacier. Good upgrade? It seems to be a little outdated with 2.3.3 and no updates available. :(

Luckily though, it looks like MIUI and CM7 have ROMs on it, so maybe I'll root it down the line.

Well I bought it mainly because I'm an artist and I really wanted something I can draw on, otherwise I would have got a transformer. So far its pretty good, but sort of buggy. I guess the best way to put it would be that it is a few system updates from being a great tablet. There's a bunch of small stuff that seems like it would be easy to fix but make things annoying for me. For instance the palm rejection is unreliable, so drawing is somewhat frustrating sometimes but it could easily be fixed if they gave an option to just turn off the touchscreen when using the stylus. It could also use some optimizations or something to make the whole thing run slightly smoother but its not really that bad. Sure the Galaxy 10.1 is a smoother experience, but this one isn't really that much worse. The skin they put overtop honeycomb isn't pretty useless and the launcher they have is ugly as sin which is why I'm using ADW. I don't know what the complaints are for the display, seems pretty good.

The build however is excellent. It really feels solid and doesn't look cheap at all and I do really appreciate how the stylus fits snugly into the tablet itself. The physical buttons do sometimes get pushed by accident however. I wish they had gone with PDMI or something to make it charge faster too. The stylus works well and sketchbook pro replicates the cintiq experience pretty well.

I've only had it about a week thanks to Lenovo's ridiculously delayed shipping. It took a month to ship to me and they didn't even bother explaining why. The folio keyboard thing is supposed to be pretty awesome but unfortunately that isn't available to be shipped yet.

Do you go to Seton Hall and in the pilot program? I have one too. How do you guys exit out of the program without minimizing them?

No I just bought one from Lenovo directly. Can't you just open the active apps list and click the red X?

You're not overclocking are you?
It wasn't on no. I turned it on just a minute ago though and everything ran very smooth. Without it screen transitions are a bit laggy.

One thing though, on this release candidate my cell service is worse. Where I always had full bars in my apartment onrc1 now I'll have none at times, and 1x instead of 3G...

Cool, I mean, the program that is active does not show up until I open something else. :(

You don't really close programs with Android, and you don't really need to either.

Unless Lenovo has done something different.

If I leave them open. The apps eat up memory like anything. I just feel its weird not to close the old apps.

I was thinking that for whoever makes the OT. "The phone is your friend." Is the subtitle I would use.

Android |OT| - The phone is your friend.

There's an article posted I think in the last past (100 PPP supeririority blah blah blah) that explains ram usage.

It's a good thing for apps to use RAM.

Jtwo- We're gonna have to throwdown some fisticuffs with the title it seems.

Surprised nothing new about the Prime is out. I want to know what it looks like.

It will look like a bigger Nexus S. How fast people forget about the original rumor.
So a big, plastic piece of shit? Dammit.

Where did that come from? Is it an official slogan?

I'm about to jump ship from AT&T back to T-Mobile after many years.

I'm either going to pick up the Galaxy S II or the HTC Amaze, but having a hard time deciding which one. Is the Super AMOLED+ screen that much better? The Amaze has higher resolution and DPI on paper, otherwise the phones seem pretty similar.

Wait a week for the Prime.

You guys realized there's been like 18 Apple iPhone threads since the last iPhone release?

How about somebody make the thread already.
Event thread will be up by the 10th, new OT a bit after that. That way the new OT will avoid all the conference spam/hype. We can enter the age of the new OT properly educated.

It's pretty good though. I'm going to wait until ICS/Prime event before throwing my hat in the subtitle ring.
Thanks! My alternate was "your phone is computer" but its too memetic.

Ok so any phones on the horizon with this feature set? I know some of them have some of these specs, but to my recollection, none of them have all of them. I might be happy with a 4.3 inch screen, but that is all i would want to sacrifice.

Processor: 1.5 Dual Core Exynos? OMAP? Tegra? (not sure what the best processors are now)
RAM: 1 GB
Screen: 4.5 Inch Super Amoled HD (or other 720p screen)
Camera: 8 MP w/ 1080p video capture
WIFI: a/b/g/n (Dual Band)
Bluetooth: 3.0 HS
Accelerometer: Yes!
Gyroscope: Yes!
FM Radio: Yes!
OS: Ice Cream Sandwich (or at least the promise of a timely upgrade)

Hoping the Neximus Prime will have all these features and be available on AT&T (or at least a world phone, so I can still use it)

I would also love LTE, but probably going to have to wait until January to see some phones other than the Holiday that will be AT&T LTE.

Galaxy S II is making it hard to wait, keep reading good things about it.

Can anybody tell me what the difference is (if any) between Android 2.2 and Android 2.2.2? ViewSonic finally got around to releasing an update for the ViewPad 7 (and before you ask, it's one I won earlier this year in a giveaway, that's why it isn't the latest and greatest).

anybody here have an Xperia Mini Pro? i've been eyeing this to replace my moto Milestone(1!). how's the battery life?
(i love me some kaybords...)

i notice in the latest 2.3.5 rom for the SGS2 sammy have removed the bounce on scroll effect and replaced it with a blue light effect...

yuck.

now my question is this ..how the fuck does apple force sammy to change something so minor as that ..and yet today apple go ahead and demo to the public a notification system stolen almost in whole right from andriod?

is google waiting for IP4S's to hit the shelves before starting legal action?

It's a great phone. Battery life is decent, but better still the keyboard is among the best I have ever used on a phone. For me at least, the 3" screen is perfect and Sony Ericsson's skin is definitely the best of the third party skins for Android. I probably even prefer it over stock.

Those circles on the side...dock contacts like the nexus one?

So, curved screen, hump on the bottom like the Nexus S and GS2, and a protrusion where the camera is. It's the right side of the phone as indicated by the wake/power button.

hype hype hype

What in the world is that? What's with the bend?
NexusS18.jpg

edit:dunno if it's just the video, but the curve looks a little more pronounced on the prime than the S. wonder if that's true and how it affects usabililty

I don't even know why the curved screen is a thing, but damnit thats fucking sexy.

fuck the bend, what kind of connection is THAT? (notice the 3 small holes on the left).

I am guessing its similar to the Nexus 1 contactless connectors but they were on the butt of the phone, not the side

Please FFS be 850mhz UMTS (AT&T for you yanks :P) and, heck, why not 1800mhz for LTE and I'll mark out more than a Little Jimmy @ Cena's music

Yeah, that video's friendly music did a huge number on me. Already watched it 4 times.
