Agreed. As if the lore is so coveted that a convenient addition would be heresy of the highest order.
The Lore makes no sense, because if you can grab those shards then so can zavalla and everyone else. But nope, apparently you are the ONLY guardian that can grab those corrupted/broken shards
music is amazing thoughI actually don't think Zavala and his fireteam could "grab" the shards. Only the Guardians called by the Traveler could get their light back in this manner. *shrug*
Again, as someone who knows jack and shit about D1's story, this bothered me. I really don't like it when gameplay and story just don't mix together, and having you be the "only one who can save the human race!" whilst twenty other people who are also the "only one who can save the human race!" run past me with their supposedly unique powers was one of the worst examples of it.

Her writing is dumb bordering on redundant, and her delivery is like nails on a chalkboard.
I've cleaned out Nessus and fuck I wish there was a dialogue mute toggle.
Did they ever officially say anything in the lore about it or do we have to do theories to determine the most possible outcome. It's really sad that is what bungie does, they do these vague explanations or intros to everything and let the fans ponder on what could be. So we get shit half the time that makes no sense or is incomplete.
I love D2 but the story sucked

Abflab is implying that it's literally impossible to give Destiny 2 such a low score and not be lying about it. Everyone in this world has to enjoy it way more.
We get that opinion a lot around here lol.
At least it's not as bad as the Uncharted 3 fans who got mad at reviewers for giving the game an 8/10 BEFORE they even played it themselves.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm sure I will be able to understand why he gave that score. Destiny 2 is my first Destiny and I would give it at least a 8.5 for the gameplay alone. Combat is very satisfying.
I bet he is angry about that micro transactions stuff

That first mission on Nessus where you get introduced to Failsafe is the fucking worst. It made it worse by Cayde being in your ear at the same time.
None of the characters in the game are funny, just stop. It's not like Glados is the first sarcastic AI in entertainment but you can tell that's what they're going for and man do they fail spectacularly.
Destiny is now a franchise that's 3 years old and I still feel Bungie hasn't created a single good character for this game. That might seem hyperbolic but I can't think of any one of them I actually want to listen to. Asher is also shit.
Playing the game is dope though.

How does someone come into a thread about a single Youtubers Review which is 45 minutes long, admit they didn't watch the review but saw the score he gave it then wonder how he got to the score and post about it anyway.
Man, the game really sounds like a disappointment for me if I had tried it. I had a lot of problems with the first game, which is why I quit early but was thinking about getting into this one, now I am convinced I can just pass.
No new classes at all and people of bloody course defends this, and in no good way either.
Incredibly dumb A.I from a company that once used to do pretty good A.I.
Disappointing loot for the effort put in at end game.
Unecessary and greedily added microtransactions.
Still didnt actually focus on doing a huge lore run and get more of that into the game.
Short campaign and very by the books story.

Angry Joe is really beating a dead horse with this review.
Destiny was meant to be (for him and many others) a revolutionary MMORPGFPS. A space ranger adventure Co op romp throughout expansive Worlds with deep lore and a provoking campaign hook.
It failed on all of those fronts, delivering a piece meal stream of ideas strung along by paper thin plot and fractured by a cumbersome, loading screen-laden interface.
It's only saving grace was the combination of top tier gameplay and art direction.
Destiny 2 iterates on the aborted salvage of content that Destiny 1 ultimately materialized into, integrating more lore into the core game, with a somewhat meatier campaign, and more diversity in the free roam zones (which remain in a strange limbo of walled-off mini sandboxes wallpapered with enticing skyboxes).

But this is Joe specific. It's no secret his foray into a primary focus on television and movies is not bringing the traffic his Angry Reviews did.
That plus the enormity and craft behind D2 takes it out of any serious "6" discussion, and yeah, I doubt his motives.

Nothing to laugh at, really. The shooting mechanics in the Destiny games are some of the best in the genre, period.
And now in Destiny 2, it's in a game that is great at launch.
Points out some things I definitely agree with, other things I've never had issue with.
Overall, it looks like he is one of many critics that point out Destiny 2 playing things too safely. And I'd agree.
That said, I don't see the issue with the raid. Sure that one part can be a bitch, but I actually enjoyed it. Could definitely use some better rewards, or just getting some fucking rewards at all.

Usually I agree with AJ on pretty much all his reviews but sorta disagree here. Although its kind of weird, I think Destiny 2 is a 8.5/10 game for 30 hours, and then it would drop to a 6/10 after that. But I don't really expect more than 30 hours out of most games, and I really enjoyed the story and loot grind and guns a lot, so its tough to give it a overall score.
Those costumes are fantastic though, especially the farmer lol. I wonder if PC version would change his mind, probably not.

I watched a bit of his stream on Twitch as he was making his way through the game. Not surprised at the final score. He was quite annoyed with it at times.

I just carrot chase all the gear in PVE to play dressup in PVP. lol
Took awhile to watch but I agree with the score. It's marginally better than Destiny overall. Some things are worse, others better, but in the end it's just the same old shit. Feels like a proper expansion, and the expansions they sold in the past felt like something that should have been a free update. I really doubt the expansions for this game are going to be any different, not that I will be playing that long anyway.

I was glad I only got the first game after the DLC was included and on sale. Was going to do the same with Destiny 2, but with this kind of review it'll get the Andromeda treatment. That is...wait for the game to go on sale but then realize I have much more enjoyable things to do with my time and forget about it.
