Maybe? Not many people are going to actually play things like Dungeon Keeper, Rambo, or Slaughtering Grounds so I can see it being among the worst a person has played.

In past years, Joe has used the disclaimer that games on this list are games that he's actually played. I didn't hear that this year, but if it still holds up, it might explain the absence of Sonic Boom and other expected titles.

I'm not sure if Joe has a WiiU or not, either.

Entertainment. Joe is trying to be entertaining with his videos. Sure, he is trying to inform people about things they can (and should) avoid, so that they do not spend their hard earned money on them but at its core he is trying to be entertaining to his viewers. Sometimes I think that people on GAF lose sight that when we discuss games (good, bad and otherwise) it should be because we enjoy doing so. It is enjoyable to commiserate with others by saying "Oh man, yeah that was a stinker". I'm with you that some things like Duck Dynasty should be no brainers and are barely worth mentioning, however sometimes when you are just exploring indie titles or lesser known things on STEAM you find either gems or a sack of shit.

For my personal tastes though, he has provided me insight into games that I didn't even know existed (like the incident with the Slaughtering Grounds) because I simply don't trawl unadvertised games like I used to. When I get home in the evening, I sit down and play a game I've purchased that I generally know what I'm getting into. If I play something off the beaten path it is usually through the recommendation of a friend, a gaffer or a video like his reviews.

Yeah, Risen 3 shouldn't be on any "worst" list.. at worst, it is a mediocre game with not a good combat system, but the writting isn't bad, even has some clever homor in it, the graphics are really nice, enemy variety is great, some nice and cool gameplay mechanics, the islands are diverse, the OST is good, etc.. it is definitely rough around the corners, but so what.. almost everything else is solid

His Destiny review was so spot on. I think like many, he thought the core gameplay was great. Thought the first 30 hours were enjoyable. But also realized the game cut so many content and was designed in a very questionable way (DLC/ terrible loot drops/post game).

I get people hate Destiny especially since they sold people on a different game. But I still dont think it was a terrible game. More like a massive disappointment. Just me though. Don't get me wrong, I've completely soured on the game and Bungie. I get all the hate and anger. But I still enjoyed my first 30 hours for what it was.

Edit: I dunno maybe it's terrible lol I personally think the 10 games he listed here were technically worse.

How did they sell people on a different game, people just have unreal expectations

I just think people love to hate destiny because they want some epic story when all destiny really is about is working as a team in co-op scenarios, getting loot (I got 7 exotics in the last 10 days, and about 8 Legendaries) and coming together to beat raids.


All things Angry Joe never did, he played the boring part of Destiny I have not touched in 4 months

The Fall looks like a PS2 game in how it plays. This is the first time I've seen anything from it. Absolute trash and probably amplified by the well received Hitman Go.

I like that Angry Joe pretends that this shitty movie game is an insult to the 2008 Rambo movie.

Dungeon Keeper was released in 2013 though.

It was released in late Jan of 2014.

All of the "hate" articles on it start in early Feb 2014, and no way do they wait two months to cover that atrocity. Plus they all say stuff like "Dungeon Keeper launched last week".

I was going to suggest for Sonic Boom to be on this list, but after observing some of the other games in detail, I now truly believe that they deserved to be on it more. Sonic Boom may be bad, but those games are just flat out abysmal.

Even in this thread. "It takes a day to build a base." Yeah welcome to any number of these type of games. Simpsons Tapped Out/Clash of Clans/Boom Beach etc are all the same game. Nobody cares because they aren't called Dungeon Keeper from the nefarious EA. These games are few minute a day time wasters. You set up your builders, go attack some bases, get attacked, design bases. You can waste money to speed up building or you can just earn that currency in the game. I have never spent a cent in this game and I have 6 imps and I am in the second highest ranking. The reaction to this game is dumbfounding and the overly negative reaction probably curb stomped any chance of an actual full game release.
