I'll never understood this forum's fascination with an old faux 3-D line fighter filled with preset combos...

I wouldn't even say it's this forum. It's just a small group of people who really, really enjoyed the game (I'm one of them). At high level play it's basically the fighter equivalent of a twitch shooter, and there's really nothing else that plays like it.
