Doesn't change the fact that there isn't much to do in Markham. He might as well stay in Toronto and save those 10 minutes (quadruple that if travelling during rush hour). :)

WTF?

Markham is awesome. So many great Karaoke places and one of the better arcades in the GTA. Plus the great restaurants. :D

just sayin' hello to all you ontarians...im not far from you all in montreal!!!

Really?? Which restaurants do you recommend? Granted, I've only been here about half a year, but I usually go to Toronto to do stuff.

I'm from North Bay, Ontario. (nobody has probably heard of such a place >.>)
I was there last summer. My buddy comes from there. Nice, if small, town. I was surprised to see you guys even had a Canadian Tire. :)

Haha.. well at least now the city is gettin a little bigger.. I don't really go into stores much though.. I haven't even been in the Home Depot yet and it's been up for awhile now.
I only like this city because of the lakes.

Easier for me to tell you which restaurants to avoid :D

Markham is famous for Chinese food. One of the highest concentrations of quality, authentic Chinese cuisine outside of Asia.

On the higher end of the quality scale, I recommend Ding Tai Fung (the Shanghai place) at First Markham Place at Woodbine/Hwy 7. New Century Place at Warden and Steeles is a good place for Dim Sum (but crowded on the weekend).

There are a few all you can eat Sushi places - good to go if you want to fill up. I recommend sticking to the sashimi over the sushi at those places - they don't let the rice cool, so the sushi isn't very good, but the sashimi is decent.

Yeah, the lake sure was nice.

I go to school in Vancouver, but live in London. This town (specifically, around the UWO campus) has the hottest girls in Canada, with the possible exception of Montreal.

I'm from Oakville Ontario myself.

Not much to see here I'm afraid but if you're ever in town stop at the local comic shop at Keer street they easily have the best prices around on graphic novels and manga and even their normal comics are 25% cheaper then anywhere else.

Have you ever been to Sabul beach? It's a pretty nice place to spend a week at.

I can't really think of too many intresting places at the moment despite the fact I've travled over a good chunk of the provance. Honestly most of it is boaring as heck.

I'm from Ottawa. I also lived in Peterborough, and Gloucester (which I guess is just now a part of Ottawa?) for a little while.

I want to move back :( I'm getting tired of living in the US.

come back!

A while ago I was considering going back to Canada for university and moving there eventually, but my boyfriend is an American so I don't see it being too easy to go back there now. Oh well! :(

Next time I'm up there for some trivial cousin's wedding or something I'll have to find some gaffers to hang out with.

Gotta get together and catch a game dude....

Sounds good to me...I'll probably be at Elsewhere for all the England games, though I know a few guys at Main Event (incidently, right above Gamerama) who'll probably try to pull me into their place. :lol Just look for the big black dude with an England cap...it'll be pretty hard to miss me.

I forgot one more planned summer activity...I need to check out Chick N' Deli for their fine selection of er, legs and breasts.

I grew up in the Etobicoke area of Toronto, but now live in Mississauga. Still, I'm only 3 sets of lights away from the Toronto/Mississauga border. The West end of the city is by far the nicest place in Toronto.

Have you ever been to Sabul beach? It's a pretty nice place to spend a week at.

Sauble beach is like a miniature Wassaga--full of wannabe hoodlums and ricers.

But does that mean I was wrong? Canadian geography is my worst ennemy.

A GIRL?!?! *cue gif*

There is an Aylmer in Quebec that is near Ottawa, yes. But that's not where I'm from. I'm from an Aylmer that's a half-hour south of London.

LMAO! I have a good story for you from Chick N' Deli about a 57 year old grandma coug that's a regular there!

I'm currently living in Ottawa, I also used to live in Toronto almost 10 years ago, and it really is a nice city, alot of stuff to do there.

Ottawa is kinda boring, but living here for 9 years, all my friend's are here and the city grew on me, I really like the quiteness and peacefulness here and I don't think I would rather live anywhere else really (except in the winter)

Scarborough.

I'm so hood I'd murder you all for a dollar, 'cause that's how we do here in Scarlem, ON...

... or at least, that's how people react when I tell them I'm from Scarborough, nevermind the fact I've never been a victim of violence/crime despite living next to a government housing building my entire life. :lol

I'm heading downtown in a few hours, so if any of you see a 6'4" lanky Chinaman around UT Campus, Eaton's Centre or Queens St. later today, it's probably me. Feel free to gimme a shout.

You can always go to a marijuana grow house. :lol

Funny story, a grow house was shut down on the street next to mine a few weeks ago. My aunt saw it happen (she lives on the street) and told me that it was an old Asian guy. The best part was that he escaped from the back of the cruiser and it took the cops a while to find him hiding in someone's backyard. :lol

I lived in Toronto 2004-2005, but I'm back in Calgary now.

I'll be moving back next year...

I have no advice on what to do, I was a poor student.

:lol oh and btw... there's another round of government hiring coming up as well as a lot of new student jobs at Statistics Canada. I'll ask my Dad if you can apply to them directly or if you have to enter your name into a bank.
