Going to Europe in a month, I own a DSlite and a phat DS, thinking of snagging a couple good multiplayer games for the flight to enjoy with a friend for the trip.

Any solid multiplayer games (dual cart or otherwise) that are worth looking into? I expect Puzzle League and Mario Kart will get mentioned(i already own both, but just 1 copy of each), but I'm thinking of something different and unique.

Also, any battery extenders/power converters I should look into getting for PAL-land?

Tetris is awesome, especially if you have 9 other people. You can play ten player single cart multiplayer.

Animal Crossing is pretty fun with others, but it's not per sé a multiplayer game.

Star Fox Command is a little fun with others and you can play single cart multiplayer.

I can't remember if Advance Wars is single cart or multicart, but it's awesome multiplayer.

QuickSpot (it's a game of "spot the differences between two pictures" like some older magazines used to have) is fun and can be played single cart multiplayer with at least three people.

I also like Diddy Kong Racing because of sheer variety and no snaking, but since you already have an arcade racer I'd go with the ones above.

Yes it does. It's not quite as mindbogglingly awesome as single player, but still fun.

If you're playing a friend, Metroid Prime: Hunters has an awesome multiplayer. However, the singleplayer isn't too hot. Sort of like a better version of Goldeneye with a better control scheme.

Advance Wars DS probably has the absolute best multiplayer you can get.

Like everyone else I'd have to agree with tetris, some of the most multi player fun I've had with a handheld.

Just one comment/question: I was under the impression that you weren't allowed to use wireless on commercial aircraft, and that this included DS multiplayer. Has this changed, or does it only apply to WiFi?

Its all hype, just have the device "off" at takeoff and landing.
