Any students using a tablet/drawing tablet to take notes instead of a notebook?

I'm considering dropping notebooks/papers (when possible) for a tablet/drawing tablet

My math teacher is using a Huion drawing tablet and it seems so much more convenient compared to just a regular notebook.
Organizing all your papers is such a bitch and its so easy to do on a PC, plus you can back it all up and don't have to worry about something happening to it, and you don't have to throw away stuff. And it would help in other ways like not wasting as much time making shapes and sketches in math/physics.

It all sounds amazing on paper (haha!), but I'm still not sure about making this switch
I'd like to hear from other students who work with a tablet or tried both ways and what they think about it

I use an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro. App is called Nebo, it's great. The responsiveness of the Apple Pencil is really like writing on paper.

That sounds so cool.

I've no experience with tablets or electronic pens but I've always wondered how accurate they are.

Currently using a miix 510 for my notetaking and it is dope!

I honestly prefer digital notetaking to physical sincerity doesn't mess with space after the semester is over.
I know people who use laptops and slate-tablets (like huion or small Wacom ones) and I don't think I could handle that bulk.

I recommend you look at the tablet deals thread and look around and ask questions if you are interested

Accuracy is rarely a problem anymore. It's usually polling rates, jitter, and other stuff that becomes an issue.

Its a good idea to go to a microsoft store, Apple Store, or a Best Buy just to try them out

Yeah, Pencil with Pro here. Go for it! ItÂ’s so convenient to have everything in just an iPad. Have always used notebooks, but from his year I have been using GoodNotes (if you happen to go for the tablet choosing app will be the next decision :) ) and it has been so much nicer. Copy pasting, erasing, pen colours, structuring and just having everything in one place is so convenient and great for a light backpack.

If you have an iPad Pro or any high end tablet, I would definitely recommend it at least. WITH a proper stylus that is. Palm resistance and accuracy is a must, ie Bluetooth.

Edit: can only speak for the Apple Pencil, but the accuracy with it is not an issue for me at least!

I got an iPad Pro a couple of weeks ago and was surprised by how good the Pencil is. Thanks for the new app recommendation, just got Nebo and I'm liking it so far.

I use an older cheap Surface for note-taking, using One Note. I don't bother with a stylus (tried it; didn't care for it), but the on-screen keyboard is fast and accurate, and it's trivial to digitize any paper material / course notes that might get passed around.

Thanks for all the responses and recommendations.
I'll look into the suggestions in this thread.

Ipad Pro + Pencil looks pricey but it may be worth it could serve other uses as well

I have surface pro4 and it's great, I have OneNote as well so I can download all the slides and pdf file and just annotate them and write on them.

plus it has full windows 10 so I can use it for matlab, writing reports etc.

Is there a reason why you would want to write, rather than type? Maybe this is a STEM thing, but for my history undergrad/law school classes, typing was much preferred.

I may be returning for grad school in a year, and was always fascinated by the concept of the Courrier. Is there anything out or on the horizon that realized the dream.
