Any WiiU games that focus on exploration?

I love games that focus on exploration and i was wondering if there are any games i'm missing in my collection.
I currently have:
Zelda Windwaker HD
Zelda Twilight Princess
Captain Toad (well it counts for me)
Project Zero
Xenoblade Chronicles X

Are there any other games that i should look for?

Not sure if it's in the same category, but Pikmin 3 is fairly exploration heavy, though a lot of it is gated by the day you're on or the progress you've made.

I already have Zombi U and Pikmin isn't really for me (not a fan of RTS)

Have you actually played one or do you imagine Starcraft/C&C in your head when you hear RTS because Pikmin has nothing to do with that. RTS is a bad genre descriptor for Pikmin.

Exploration? Everything was alredy mentioned

The rest of wiiu library is made of games about having to replay the same stage over and over and over to get all the stars/green coins/medals/puzzle pieces/best time for medal/kong letters/challenge/golden flag

Well, I wouldn't call it the worst descriptor either, it definitely requires real-time juggling of strategy that some people don't want to do.

I haven't played it but i've watched some trailers.Does it still have time limits like the previous ones?

Pikmin 3 OP do it dooo it, best exploration game

have you played pikmin 3?? download that demo right now, and collect some JUICE

It does, but I'd say try out the demo. You aren't really losing out with that. I didn't think I'd like it at first, but ended up being probably one of my more favourite wiiU titles.

There's a limit in that you have to make sure you have to get, at least, one fruit a day since you need a glass of fruit juice for the crew to go to the next day since they are on a planet with no food. The limit is no where near as harsh as the first game and the second one didn't have a limit from what I remember.

And others mentioned Lego City: Undercover and I definitely recommend that and Pikmin 3 if you are willing to try it.

Never played it, but maybe Affordable Space Adventures fits the bill? I mean, there's "adventure" in the title after all. Anyone to confirm?

C'mon that's just Mario and DK, there are many more awesome games in WiiU's library.

Anyway, DK has some exploration in every level: puzzle pieces are usually hidden and there are also secret exits to new levels. But it's a pure platformer, so not sure if it fits what OP wants.

Thanks guys i guess i'll try the Pikmin 3 demo.

Is Lego City any good?Is it similar to something else?(i have never played any Lego game in my life)

Pikmin 3 hands down. Yoshi Woolly World is also good for exploring for collectibles

It's GTA style game with LEGO graphics and a buddy cop type script. It's definitely my favorite of the LEGO games I've played. The only big downside is the long load times for me and the gameplay can be a bit simplistic/easy at times. Feels like my first GTA in a way. You can buy it as a Nintendo Classic for $20 if you're willing to give it a chance.

You definitely have the big ones. Xenoblade being the largest. I would also say Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut...if you've not played it on other platforms.

The original Xenoblade Chronicles, and Pandora's Tower, are also on the Wii U VC if you have never played them. And both can be played entirely with the Gamepad/Wii controllers not necessary.

The first Xenoblade is one of my favourite games of all time and played it to death! :p As for Pandora's Tower i skipped it when it first came out due to its time limit (i hate time limits :p) but now i kinda regreted that i didn't bought it and i'm looking to find a cheap physical copy.

If Wii BC counts than Endless Ocean 1 and 2 are pretty much only exploration

No, but it have to be on WiiU

I have Endless Ocean 1 in my backlog but i have yet to play it...

It has a 3DS version ... but I heard it is not very good on the 3ds
It pales in comparison to the Wii U game for sure, but it's also the best 3DS LEGO game I've played. Here's my take.

Definitely get the Wii U game and play that first, then you can play the 3DS game if you want afterward.

If you're in the mood for a Mario 64-style adventure, FreezeME on the eshop is really good. It's nice and short (having about 4-5 worlds) and it really nails the exploration aspect of 3D platformers since you can complete the objectives in any order you want.

Wow this looks great! I'll definitely get it!Thanks!

I have to echo LEGO City Undercover for Wii U. It's my favorite Lego game ever (and I've played a lot of LEGO games). It's a perfect time to pick it up too because the Selects version just released. It's funny and just fun to play. Think LEGO GTA. It's not perfect (especially performance wise), but I highly recommend it. Just don't expect it to be ported any time soon because I heard the game did horribly.

Does Dungeon Exploration count?

any metroid clone like axiom verge?

Teslagrad is worth a play

I too will echo this. I enjoyed the game quite a bit, and even found the humor to be on point (as an adult).
