Anybody ever noticed this about the signs on PS controllers?

Didn't the image caption say "No, it's not a Pokeball?"

You are wrong.

1. You guys are joking about the SATURN logo, right? Would the Acura logo being a pinched Honda logo blow your minds too?? (honda makes acura for you numbskulls!)

2. I know it's not exact, but I always thought the symbols on the PS controller were comparable to the buttons on a VCR/CD Player:

square = stop
triangle = play
circle = record
x = profit (pause)

OK I still am not getting this (or maybe it's so stupid that I don't really appreciate it). Someone please explain.
please be joking. also, saturn people , please be joking
(and to be clear he means the giant obvious "T" in the logo (subtracting lines from that logo can form each letter in toyota) and not the font written "T-O-Y-O-T-A" )

this thread is full of meanies. i learned a lot about logos and myself in here. but seriously someof the ones you guys are posting (the toyota logo one especailly) are just dumb. you could prob say that about a lot of logos.

Even better, the shapes are the exact same as the "magic" thrown out by Magikoopa sans the "X".

I had to check this one out for myself to see if he did it in the actual game, and it appears as though you are right!

wait, did you guys really not know that the Saturn logo was a cropped image of the planet? :lol its obvious isnt it?

I remember the first time this was pointed out to me.

Up there with the FedEx arrow and the Walt Disney "D"

The FedEx arrow blew my mind a couple of years ago when someone pointed it out to me! :D

The PS thing is cool, but not on the same level. :D

God damn it. How are people so dumb? You REALLY didn't see Saturn in the Saturn logo?

And you can't understand Walt Disney? I mean, you've seen it spelled elsewhere, do you not understand stylizing?

I feel the same. I mean I have noticed that since I first saw the logo. I mean its CALLED Saturn...

The people that didn't notice that the Saturn logo is Saturn amaze me as well.

Did you think they chose an X as their logo? What sense would that have made?

The SUN logo is the coolest thing in here. I've always just thought of it as 4 S's, but it's cool how the font type spells out the word. Very nice.

The CELLIUS logo spells out the company name in morse code (long lines represent dashes, short ones represent dots, the letters are stacked vertically).

So is the PS3 iirc.[translucent like the Sixaxis]
In fact, the PS3 is translucent in visible light, but even more translucent in infrared. You can demonstrate this by using one of those "night-vision" video cameras; the internal cages, drive, and so on are very visible through one. I assume this was done to bolster heat dissipation--it can actually leak out directly through the casing, which is pretty unusual for plastics.

Same here. My favorite so far.

Also, the Saturn logo is indeed obvious... at least I thought it was. But for some reason the ones I've pointed it out to in everyday life seriously didn't notice it before. I dunno, guess people just flat out don't care enough to notice. I don't blame them, we're bombarded with random shit everyday. It's just noise at this point.

The first batch of Acura badges in that design didn't have a center bar. Someone high up at Honda suggested to put the bar there to also have a connection with Honda. (at the last minute)

Unfortunately none of those badges went onto production cars - they were all accounted for and destroyed.

next thing you know people will say the Infiniti logo is a representation of a road going off into - gasp - infinity! and people will be shocked.

re: Sun logo/Saturn logo - duh?

I think you're being sarcastic, but they really did. Sort of. From what I understand, the SNES controller was designed with the idea of being expanded on with the CD add-on. It's why they used ABXY instead of ABCD or ABYZ, and why they put A on the right and B on the bottom instead of the more natural feeling A on the bottom and B on the left.

This picture of the prototype Nintendo Play Station controller was released a while back:

MVC-020S-17.jpg

You can see two new buttons below and to the left of the traditional button diamond, which would undoubtedly have been labeled C and Z. And on another interesting note, you can see the similarities to the Playstation controller in the cross indentation around the D-Pad and buttons, as well as the shapes of Start and Select.
now that's interesting.

I hate that they changed it, but the bottom one:

Lon = 2012

But seriously, why the hell did they change it? Especially to that shit.

Because the third logo (which is awesome) requires a working knowledge of English letters to make sense to the viewer. Given the Olympics is a worldwide competition representing unity among the nations, they decided to go with something more universal. And blowjobs are international.
