Anyone buying both XBone and PS4 at launch?

I may save up for both. I skipped ps3 this past generation, so launch titles would need to be pretty sweet to pull me in for day one.

Only a PS4 at the moment. I don't really care for non-gaming features (I don't even use netflix/other apps on my current console). Unless Xbox One offers something I can't get on PS4 I have no reason to purchase one.

You would be better off with a PS3 than a PS4 since it has a pretty large library of exclusives. PS4 would have been perfect for you if it had backwards compatibility.

I will get a PS4 only this next gen (along with the wii u). I will probably wait until after Christmas for a sale rather than buying one at launch.

I'm still waiting on what will be the games at launch. But so far i'm leaning more on PS4 day one because I have 0 interest in live TV, NFL and fantasy sports. Also not living in the US, those features will probably not be available anyways.

If history is any indication, it will be quite a few revisions before MS figures out how to make reliable hardware (They claim they have, what else would they say though.."yeah, it is probably gonna take us 10 revisions to get something that lasts more than 3 months".

Aside from that I need more information. PS3 has the lions share of the best games this generation, and the two generations before as well.

Waiting to see prices and games at E3. It's likely i'll have both eventually but no way in hell am I getting both right away.

I'm just crazy enough to do it.

As far as doing it, yes, it's gonna be pricey, but I've been putting money away just for this next-gen blitz for a while. I've been avoiding buying full priced games the last couple years, I let my Gold sub expire over a year ago, stuff like that.

I want a PS4 at launch, but given the history of this gen, it's probably not a good idea to buy either at launch. I don't want to be a beta tester.

The launch Wii I bought had a fatal error code that would never let me get online (replaced though). Hell, even the 360 I bought two years after launch ended up with the red ring.

I'll wait.

If they both launch in November there is a good chance I will buy both, but it does depend on what Microsoft decide to show at E3. If they surprise us and launch in October I will only buy one (PS4) for now.

I have both ordered at Amazon.

Yep, got em both pre-ordered, as long as the combination of the two, plus games and peripherals comes at £1,000 or less then I'm sticking with both. Got the money set aside.

I don't really understand the reason to get both at the same time, let alone both at all (ever) depending on the exclusives. I had no reason to get a PS3 until the end of 2009, and it only had four exclusives that I ever bought. The 360 has just been a SF4 box and that's pretty much it. I play most of the other cross-platform stuff on the PC.

Unless the PS4 has some incredible launch titles, I won't have any reason to buy it on launch either. Definitely won't be getting an Xbone at launch, if ever.

PS4, yes. Xbox, if Forza5 is solid. No reason to believe it won't be.

Besides, I like to take part on the early adopter thing this time. It'd be fun.

I guess it's theoretically possible they could alleviate my fears and get me to buy an Xbone. In that case, I would get both at launch. I don't think it's gonna happen though.

Day one purchases for both. This year is gonna have so many fantastic things:
- Xbox One
- PS4
- Awesome 1st party Wii U games
- iPad Mini Retina (I hope)

It's gonna be a huge gadget spending spree this year, and I can't wait!

I would only be buying the PS4. For it to be a day one purchase, I gotta see what games are available. I don't want to buy it then have it collect dust... *cough* WiiU *cough* lol

I will probably buy both at some point, but I'm going to wait until E3 is over with to decide which one I 'll get first.

It all depends on what games are available at launch.

I'll probably buy both eventually, but right now I'm not even sure if I'll buy either one at launch.

I would very much like to, but some non-gaming related expenses this year are probably going to keep me playing Wii U/PC stuff through the Christmas season. (Not a bad thing, really)
