Asus TUF RTX 4090 AMD 9800X3D. Monitor Alienware QD-OLED 240Hz 4K.
I installed the newest nvidia drivers and enabled Gsync, but started my go time game to check smoothness: Doom Eternal. My system should run everything at 240 fps maxced with ray tracing. But I was going between 60-240 and the there was horrible stutter. It was unplayable. All other games had this issue. tried enabling/disabling Vsync/ULLM etc. Only disabling Gsync and locking the frame did the issue go away. There are threads of this being an issue, but it doesn't seem to be so super widespread that the driver had to be pulled or a hotfix put out. Yet. To me this is a fatal issue. I am wondering if anyone else has this issue. Right now I have reverted back to driver 596.49.
When I tried Doom Eternal on my Acer 34" QD-OLED at 240 Hz, it was butter smooth. GSync will work on this monitor, but it is not explicitly listed as compatible. My alienware QD-OLED is listed as compatible and I am wondering if the issue is limited to that.
Just seeing if anyone else has had this issue.
