Maybe I just need to stop driving myself crazy with wanting to PLAY them ALL and just say f**k it, I'm a collector, this is what I do *puts game on shelf never to open*.
lol. ;(
Spend less time in GamingAGE. The biggest problem for me is that I read about all these awesome games that I feel compelled to buy because they are good and they will still be good when I get to them. Cut out the gaming information flow and you will notice a huge difference. If you want to do that kind of nonsense. Never know when you get bedridden for a week or snowed in, always good to have a backlog!DidntKnowJack said:I know the words "too many games" is thrown about way too often, but it seems to be more true now than ever. How do you guys deal with it all? How do you choose what to get and what to skip?
For me: having new hardware like the 3DS looming on the horizon, a bunch of unfinished DS, PSP, and PS2 rpgs, trying time to finally play Mass Effect 2, Dead Space 2 left unfinished, never having finished Red Dead Redemption (still in the middle of Mexico), wanting to finish Yakuza 3 before Yakuza 4 hits next week, trying to squeeze in another ballgame in MLB 11 The Show, and looking forward to Motorstorm next week as well.
And this only the tip of the iceberg. I could go on and on. Shit, I still want to go back and play some Demon's Souls. And...oh fuck. I have LittleBigPlanet 2 virtually left unplayed as well.
I don't know if this is just a question of buying too many games, or I'm not selective enough, but all these games really interest me and I want to play them all. I just...can't.
+1. First World Problems. (also Steam Problems)likedamaster said:I've got so many games I quit playing them. Every morning, I boot my computer only to turn it back off when I see the list of games I haven't even touched and just give up. Same for every console I own. Not to mention my list of unwatched movies and shows. Even my books have a backlog. Pathetic.

Stumpokapow said:This one is easy. If you don't plan on playing a game you have on Steam, make a "Not Going to Play" category, put it in there, and forget about it. It's not part of your backlog. Ta-da!

Could you go on and on please? Because that backlog makes mine look tiny so I hope you at least have a few more to go through.DidntKnowJack said:I know the words "too many games" is thrown about way too often, but it seems to be more true now than ever. This. I only buy games used now from gamefly, family video, or on Black Friday. If I'm buying a game day 1, it's because of the online multiplayer. I doubt I will buy another $60 game till Gears 3. Have about 20 titles in my backlog. And all were bought for under $20 at the time.Interfectum said:If you buy a game at launch for $60 and you don't play it for 4-5 months you are literally pissing money down the drain.
Only buy a game if you plan on playing it in the next couple days.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.Interfectum said:If you buy a game at launch for $60 and you don't play it for 4-5 months you are literally pissing money down the drain.
