Anyone get a copy of OPM yet?

Back to games, I'm surprised Untold Legends 2 got smacked down on PSP. I enjoyed the first one, and thought part two would eliminate many of the problems from the first game.

Is there a minimum resolution that all PS3 games are supposed to be, like the 360's 720p requirement?
Much like 360, the only requirement will probably be output resolution (PGR3 isn't rendered at 720p). All PS3 games will output at 480/720/1080i/p.

And wow at this thread after reading the other :)

Most common line used by mags to describe these shots:

"Some legends are better left untold."

Or the slightly less witty "This game looks like butt."

Wow, after reading that preview, The Darkness sounds really awesome. The Darklings in the game seem like they'll be a hoot to mess around with. Hopefully we can get a new trailer for it soon.

I am sorry but this looks like crap....

I am sure it can and will improve and the fact its running @ 1080p is somewhat impressive, but, so far, this looks similar to a PS2 game.....too similar for my tastes...

The Darkness... doesn't look impressive in these scans.

*Empire forums*

I'm going to read the article now....

I don't really think the screens give you much to go on.

MoH is looks great still, even if most of the screens are old.

Just got my OPM, MOH looks impressive, the rest of the games featured do not. There's also some more Untold Legends screens that make the game look worse than it already looked (if that's possible).

Sorry to bump, there's new scans of The Darkness available. They are not in English, but I'm not sure if I can post the link.

EDIT: I'm not sure if any of the screens featured are new.

The saw + head thing... That's gonna get violent.

Did you play Riddick? That was one hell of a game! ;) Probably the most violent video game I have ever played...

But yeah, the last scan page is really awesome. I love the blood effect in the first screen. Wizzz

Hey All,

To our awesome subscribers, you may have noticed that you haven't seen the June OPM yet. Truth is, we are intentionally holding the issue until next Wednesday, May 10, the opening day of E3, to protect some juicy PS3 exclusives we snagged. I think you're going to like this issue; it has over 40 pages of PS3 games and info., including a major interview with SCEE bigwig Phil Harrison, and feature previews by Scooter and Joe. (Note to manage your expectation, our awesome scoops are strictly third-party games -- Sony is keeping their next-gen hardware and games under wraps until the show and we'll have more on those in the July issue).

The Sony press conference is just a week away, and of course we can't wait, and neither I'll bet, can you.

Holy shit.

Little did I know my enthusiastic note intended to preempt an inevitable question on these boards would actually start a little flame war, fueled by none other than long-time OPM-faithful Gorillazfan.

But to explain a little further, we actually were able to get some pretty goddam meaty world exclusives, exclusives no one else will have, but only if we could guarantee the June issue would not hit the public's hands before E3. EGM is doing the same with their June issue. I see it's already not a popular decision, but it was one we feel we needed to make in order to get the goods. It was a risk worth taking.

Look, you're all gonna like this issue. The PS3 is the future! Besides, if you don't like what you see, well, that's why God made message boards.

Also apparently the new PSM confirms that the old PS3 controller design is gone now.

I wonder if Sony will dare show Killzone.

IMO, if Killzone after all of this time isn't even comparable to what was displayed at last years E3, I doubt we will be seeing it in playable form for the obvious reasons.

I don't think anyone would expect a playable.

If it slots well into the upper tier, whatever about comparisons with last year's trailer, I'd say they might show it.

Earlier this year one of the team staff members from Guerrilla mentioned that they were all going to be coming to E3 this year. That doesn't mean it will be htere, as they also have Killzone: L but it does make it seem like a real possiblity.

I guess Sony will show Killzone for PS3, but they might damage-control it by showing quick shifting videos or something like that. I guess they'll focus on other games (since Killzone probably won't be out until fall 2007).

I think that the best they could do is get a somewhat close approximation and hope maybe people will delude themselves into thinking it looks as good as the CG, that has precedent
with GRAW
. Although I doubt that even.
