Anyone had issues with PS5 Controller yet?

My right trigger spring snapped. Ordered some replacement springs from china but they take 2 months to deliver. My new controller right trigger feels different than the left already and I've barely used it😩.

Why not exchange it under warranty? Faster, easier and you get a new controller.

Nope, absolutely prefect, no problems here.

Only problem I have is when I have to switch to a competitors console that doesn't have haptics and adaptive triggers, just feels wrong and lacking now.

Feels great and i havent experienced a single issue so far. I put both haptics and triggers at medium, but i guess its an improvement because i always had vibration set to off before this controller. My only "complaint" is that switching back to the DS4 i still prefer its slightly smaller size. It will probably change over time, I remember prefering the DS3 size early on last gen.

My R2 trigger snapped and I really look after my stuff. I totally believe it was down to miles morales. Really pissed me off tbh.

Nope, I absolutely love the DualSense. I honestly have not been wowed by a controller like this in several generations.

My Series X controller, on the other hand, is very squeaky. It drives me crazy. Plus I hate the feel of the rounded face buttons on it.
My DS4 is absolutely awful worst controller ever. After a month the left stick was drifting to the left. My xbox controllers are still going strong.

My R2 Spring snapped but a £2 replacement set of springs on eBay soon had it good as new again. My friend has 3 PS5 controllers and 2 of them had broken R2 springs also. I was able to fix them for him.
I just talked to Sony repair service and they told me to send it in for replacement, would take up to 2 weeks and I have to pay for shipping as well. Would cost me around 10€ as I also need to buy some shipping material.

Hence I opened up the gamepad to check if it's really the spring that broke and it was. The spring is completely gone, though, which I find weird as it wasn't flying around inside the controller and there was no rattling when I shook it.

I looked for some DualSense springs online and thankfully found them in stock at some console/gamepad customization shop, 10pcs for 3,99€ and expected delivery tomorrow or friday.

I find the situation with these springs breaking much more worrisome than stick drift issues.

Yeah, my friend's two DS5's had snapped springs. I believe my spring came loose and fell out of the controller as I never found it broken or rattling inside it. At least they are extremely easy to replace. The L2 is a much trickier job due to being in a fickle position against the board.

I bought my springs from a UK seller who has the proper spec DS5 springs (the DS4 ones work but are a little looser) and you cannot tell the difference from the OG ones.

Works great, thought it gets dirty easily because it's textured and white.

Probably will be fine with some isopropyl alcohol though.

My boys right trigger lost much of its resistance and became a hair trigger. Took it back for refund. Awaiting further info on a revision. This seems to be far too common.

Hate this shit.

I've got 2 controllers and they both work great and I love the features and the feel of the joypad.

No issues thus far, but I only got the system for about 3 weeks now.

I have a 'clicky' X button

it comes and goes a little, but it's a struggle to get to the right customer service queue and a response to get a new controller sent out

i have probs with controller which came with console, square button is lil sticky, but thats prolly cause it got some beerz :P

I feel your pain! the R2 trigger issue is too common to be a small issue. Need a revision ASAP with a stronger spring.

General issue with the fact that ergonomically it's awful, but I've returned several controllers already for:

- left analog stick felt like it had a barrier that had to be pushed through to get to the outer limit of the sticks movement range
- right trigger mechanism failed during Astro Bot and the result was zero tension in the trigger
- x button stuck

Few gripes with the controller, the stems have this hard cut that jabs my pinkie, and we could always use more Battery Aziz.

I was counting myself lucky too until selene decided to start running left into walls. Looks like there is a class action lawsuit anyways so I would expect more failures if it's been already failing that much. This has been my worry all along with my dual sense. The haptics are really great but the controller itself feels fragile, unlike the little tank that is my series x controller.

Edit: has anyone gone through the return process with Sony? I'll be calling pretty soon. Hoping it's painless

I believe a drifting class action is also underway on Xbox. They use the same parts inside.

It's hilarious the on a full charge, my Dualsense only lasted four hours playing Returnal before it died. Just utterly ridiculous.

I'm sure they are. Anecdotally I've only had problems with PS4 controllers last gen (had to replace battery and plastic wear on sticks) but I'm aware they use the same parts. I was more just referring to the feel. Not sure if it's an effect of the springs or all the different rumbling but my dual sense just feels fragile by comparison. That said if any controller fails at 40 hours, that is completely unacceptable and I hope for 0 grief or cost in getting it replaced.

Doesn“t charge in the Console, have to use the Phone adapters i have, thankfully they are ultra speed and charge the DS really fast.
Youre going to kill your dualsense. Why do people think if it has a usb, it can charge from the wall? Dont do it. Replace your cable if it doesnt charge your controler. Or buy a charging station. DO NOT use a phone charger.

This is my problem. The dualshock 5 doesn't have a drift problem(yet).

They have a "X button" problem! Mine is doing the exact same thing-sticking. It's frustrating and weird...because my hands are always clean/washed before I use them and regularly use a dry microfiber cloth
to keep up shined up nicely.

The tolerances seems too high, even the mildest buildup causing a stick. Use some lens cleaning spray, or isopropyl. A couple of squirts and presses clears it up.
