Anyone here games on a bed??

I just got a new bed today and I haven't had the desire to play at all today simply because I find gaming on a bed very uncomfortable. My room isn't very commodious so before this bed I had a Japanese tri-fold futon that could be easily put somewhere else to make room for this cheap gaming chair I got from target. Now since I got this queen bed I can't really put the chair in between the bed and TV as it's too close.

Is there something out there that I can use that can make playing on a bed comfy?? I'm afraid this will really keep me from playing games for extended periods of time. Hell I was already uncomfortable playing on that cheap video rocker and now this bed albeit comfy, isn't comfy enough to lie down prone to game on.

I do all the time, the main TV is in my bedroom, so I do it every time I game...

I don't do anything in particular, just put some pillows on the back xD

Do you mean like playing a handheld? I play my Vita on my bed all the time - more comfortable with a grip accessory.

Main TV (with PS3 hooked up) also in my bedroom..

Otherwise, stack some pillows up and maybe get glasses? :P

This thread title is the reason I love the Wii U.

Inferior third party ports feel *superior* when I only play them from the Gamepad in bed. My brain tells me I'm playing a kickass portable game.

PSVita cries everytime this gets posted.

Yeah, the Wii U is an even better portable than Vita.

Seriously, if I were to own a Vita I'd play it at home 99% of the time. Just not enough room in the house for two iPads mini, two iPhones, a retina iPad, a Wii U GamePad, a 3DS, *and* a Vita.

Wow, that's a shameful number of devices. I need to pare that down this year.

I play games in my bed (cause I've got no other comfortable furniture) and its pretty awesome. I play 3DS and whatever console I've got with me.

All of my consoles and my PC are in my bedroom. My bed takes up most of the room in here, so yes, 99% of the time I play games on my bed.

Have more kids so the devices don't seem like a waste ;) I think a lot of people play the Vita at home tbh.

This.

Also, I know everyone other than me hates them (and I don't really do much serious PC gaming, and no FPSs), but, this is perfect for laptop use on a bed (or in my case, a futon)

No having to worry about finding any sort of surface to use it against or move it around or anything, just put it wherever and use it.

I bought that when I had my last bed and gave it away. I felt it was even worse for comfort.
I'm playing everything on my bed consoles/pc and handheld.

I admit I haven't actually put any effort into gaming but I just remember how much I'd constantly readjust myself while gaming that I just would stop playing.

I recently just moved my SNES from my downstairs TV to my older bedroom TV. I love playing the SNES up there, even better with a S-Video connection. Spent a good bit of today with Super Mario World and Sim City.

I also play my Wii U from up their late at night sometimes. Off-tv ftw!

I always handheld game on my bed, although I don't feel like having my monitor near my bed for a setup for PC gaming or console gaming, least the Wii U shines here with the Game Pad Off TV play.

I have an adjustable base and a Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe. I can be in an inclined position, (with massage!) so playing 3DS is nice. As is WiiU. The way my TV is mounted makes playing 360 a bit of a pain though.

I have this exact mouse and I highly recommend it. At first I thought it would be worse or harder to play games with, but after a few weeks with it you start to get the muscle memory of how to use it and you can play games just as good maybe better, and on any surface, so you can use it on a bed and not have to worry about not having a mousepad/hard surface.

i don't remember the last time i played a console game at home that wasn't in bed.

i sit as if it was a couch though. can't focus if i'm lying down.

Almost exclusively. It's why I've become mostly a handheld only person.

Still play my consoles, though. But nowhere near as much.

one of the best things about the wii u for sure. it's just more comfortable to hold than other handhelds and the fact that it's got a pretty large screen make it really cool to play console games on.

I used to work in retail and they called these things "husbands." I don't know if that's their real name or if it was just an east coast thing, but I never understood why they called them that.

edit: Searched for husband pillows on Amazon and these came up. So there ya go.

I had this problem previously, had my PC and Xbox hooked up to my TV, put loads of pillows behind me at the edge of my bed and hope that I'd stay comfy, but my back always ached. So I bought myself a cheap computer desk, chair and a sweet monitor for my PC (Need it for work too) and it's improved my productivity.

Still game on my Xbox on the bed but that can't be helped :3

Handhelds only. Takes a chunk of time depending on the game.

IOS games... they're too short and holds attention my for so long, I immediately fall asleep.

Vita was great in bed when I owned one, gaming in bed laying down is best gaming. So relaxing.

I'm still trying to figure out how to PC game (with m/kb) in bed though, it's like the ultimate in laziness :).

it's troublesome to do this with actual consoles, but it's my preferred location for gaming overall with handhelds

95% of my gaming is done on my bed. The other 5% on handhelds when I'm out and about.

Hell, I'm even posting this right now on my bed. If only I had a fridge and a bathroom in my room.. that level of convenience would be pretty unhealthy though I would think.
