Anyone use a lap-desk?

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
I've been looking around for a lap-desk/lap-rest that's comfortable to use with a slightly reclined chair. I have an issue with my lower back and cannot sit straight up for more than a few mins without discomfort, so anytime I'm not on my feet, I recline a bit... keeps my back straight and takes the pressure off, seems to work.

Until I want to use a PC or something. It's uncomfortable having to reach up to type/use the mouse.

Thinking maybe a lap-desk might do the trick, but idk... there are so many and I can't seem to pull the trigger on any of them. I would like to be able to have room for the keyboard and a mouse.

Any recommendations?
Besides see a doctor about my back?

I used to use a lap desk for when I would draw in my bed or on the couch, but it is really painful on the spine and back muscles because of all the slouching. I recommend a regular desk and just get a lumbar support for your chair (which you should lift to full height).

I broke my spine a year ago so I feel your pain.

No, lapdesk would be worse. Standing desk is a better way about going.

I've considered that, but they are pretty expensive and would require that I get rid of my current setup (which is pretty decent) moving a lot of stuff around.

I just want to be able to type comfortably for more than 5-10 mins. I'm dabbling in coding a little bit, thinking it might be something I want to start putting real time into, but typing for more than a few mins is a pain, literally.

Idk if lapdesk is the answer, you might be right, that's why I'm putting it out there.

I picked up a basic one from IKEA a good bit ago while on a shop, the Byllan to put my laptop on when I was in the living room. Well, I got two actually in both colours so I could swap the tops and have the b/w bean bag bit with the black top instead of white.

I don't use it that often so I can't really say if it is the second coming of sliced bread or anything mind, they also do a slightly more expensive one with the Stadjan.

You've got somekind of back issues. It doesn't really matter what position you are in your back will always be nagging you.

Standing desk isn't perfect either. You have to address the back issues eventually.
