Anyone without a screen protector on your phone?

I don't have a screen protector on my Pixel.

I used to always use one but I just got sick of how difficult they are to apply, plus I can never do it without at least 1 or 2 bubbles showing & it's just unsightly.

I think the only reason I might want one at this point is because I slightly prefer a matte surface to the plain glass, but not enough to spend effort/money for it.

I've never used one and my phone doesn't look any worse for it. My current phone is 18 months old and doesn't have a single scratch on the screen. The phone before this one lasted 2 years and is scratch-free. They seem unnecessary.

I like cases to protect my phones from wear and tear and to preserve resale value, but I don't need a screen protector. I don't put it in a pocket full of rocks and sandy seashells, and the case has a lip to preserve the screen if it's dropped. Never had an issue with microscratches. Maybe I just can't see them, but if that's the case, neither can the Orchard team who sell my old phones.

Yup. When I had my s4 and then note 5 and now s6edge+

I tend to take care of it. The screen itself is really great though. I also roll without insurance.

I just have the thing that came on the phone from the factory.

Nope. I had a tempered glass protector on my G3. Dropped it and spiderwebbed the screen, or so I thought. Pulled off the protector and the screen was fine.

People saying screen protectors don't do shit must have never dropped a phone and had the screen crack.

With yearly upgrades I don't really care if my screen gets scratched. Plus my screen protector always break or it looks disgusting after a week.

I don't have one on my Pixel. Only a case. Never had a screen protector on any phone, and at least so far, have yet to break a phone screen.

Oh, and FTR, I don't put my car keys in the same pocket as my phone, so no worries there, either. That's why I make it a point to where shirts with pockets, so I have a extra place for things like my car keys.

I don't have a screen protector but one day I just noticed a small hairline scratch on the phone and it sucks. But I'm terrible at applying them because there's always some dumb dust particle no matter how much I scotch tape it off.

I have a pretty decent case I got on Amazon for like $3 but honestly I just take them off eventually. Other than that scratch I tend to be careful around my phone.

I've been using my LG G2 without a screen protector for what, 3.5 years now and the screen doesn't have a single scratch on it.

I don't use one. I prefer the texture of the screen itself, and I don't really feel they're necessary for me personally.

I used an Otterbox Defender with an iPhone 4 in 2010 and 2011, but I never ended up dropping or scratching the phone in that time period so removed it and never ended up scratching it.

I also got an iPhone 6S last October and I've been using the Apple leather case on it since, mainly because I like the texture on and it makes it easier to hold without dropping it for me, but it only covers the front and I still don't have any screen protector on it (nor do I have any scratches) as I just don't find it necessarily and I don't like how they feel.

I've had my iphone 6 for like 2 1/2 years and there's not a scratch on the screen. Idk why it's a problem for some people.

Same. I don't even rock a case. Simply, the naked phone.

But just typing this shit is going to guarantee I drop it in a parking lot by the end of the day.

Protects phone in pocket, no need cover screen.

I avoid these like the plague. I like the usefulness of raising my phone to see the notification and quickly putting it back in my pocket. Using a phone wallet like that means I'd have to open it, read, close it and then put it back. They also add too much bulk and look impractical. With that said, I'd see why women would have no problem with these as they almost always carry a bag where they put their phones in.

Never use them, feels better without protection.
I agree, but sometimes protection is preferable, especially if we're talking about a new acquisition.

my last two phones suffered their fate from not having a protector or case.

now, with my 3rd one of the same brand that I love... I do have a protector case

I've had an iPhone 7 since launch. No screen protector. No case. If I'm going to pay for a quality product, I'm not going to put low quality plastic all around the outside. If I wanted to do that I'd just buy a Galaxy instead.

There are a few tiny scratches (micro scratches?) on the phone. Not a big deal. You certainly can't see them when it's on, even if the screen is black.

Now the back side? It looks like it went through a war zone. But that's likely because I put literally zero effort at all into keeping it safe (that's what AppleCare is for).

Two years of no case at all on my 5S and it had no scratches at all. Eight months of a back case on my 6S+ and I have swirly hairline scratches all over the face. Grumble.

I'm usually Team No Case but the 6S+ is super slippery; I needed something with a little texture to it.

I like this style of case. I don't keep my wallet stuff in there either, so it's just a nice phone case.

A shame no one really makes nice, high quality modern phones in a flip open form factor though. I'd prefer that, but the flip open cases are solid enough.

Yes and it has saved my Pixel Xl and just yesterday my Nintendo Switch when I bumped into my kitchen table. Tempered glass on my switch chipped then cracked no damage to actual screen.

iPhone 7 here, no issues

Edit, it's in the slimmest Spigen case available for the metal back pad for my car magnet

I usually use one. Can't find a not shit one for my s8+ though, so going naked for the first time since iphone 3g. Got a hefty case though

No case, no screen protector.

I simply made the decision to not drop my phone anymore.

I do use a plastic carrying case when I put my phone inside my bag because I don't want the screen getting jabbed by keys or bike locks or any of that.

No, Gorilla Glass means you do not need one. I haven't used one for two phones now, and both screens are still pristine after living in my pocket for years.

Everyone who buys these is wasting their time and money.

I buy cases, no screen protector. Only reason I get a case is because last time I dropped my phone, the back opened on my s2 and battery fell out in a club in Atlantic City.

The new Galaxy phones have arguably better build quality than Apple.

How do you know your screen would have cracked without your protector?

It fell facedown onto the curb from like 6 feet. That shit woulda been toast.

Edit: also there was a slightly discolored blotch where the point of impact was when I removed the screen protector. So it wasnt perfect, but it was only visible on black screens.

I would think getting grains of sand between the case and the phone would exacerbate the problem if anything.

Eh, that's never happened to me, but sand falls all over the front of it plenty of times and then I just clean it at home.

I also sometimes put it in my keys pocket and occasionally drop it, so I definitely need a protector.

Generally I never use one. I take great care of my phones and devices. Currently using an s7 edge, only damage I have on it is a crack on the left side of the screen due to my friend dropping it while telling me directions while I was driving.
