Anyway to check if Logitech mouse is genuine?

I got it from eBay from a Hong Kong based seller with 1000s of positive feedback (99.2%, no negs about fake stuff either), other sellers are also selling the mouse for about roughly £30-33 (it's £43 at Amazon). I asked him some questions but the replies weren't clear.

I installed the Logitech drivers for it and it seems to detect it fine and is completely customisable. In fact after installing it comes up as 'Logitech Gaming Mouse' as well as 'HID-compliant mouse' in my device manager.

How sure can I be given this, PLEASE HELP! What else can I do to verify it?

If Windows is reporting it as genuine and the drivers are working fine, that usually means it's legit.

Also, sales are a thing.

The seller is based in China, link at bottom of the post. Its just that if you go to his Contact section, the FAQ says "This item is not original, it is 100% new guarantee on quality"

I even contacted him but his English was poor so some things probably got lost in translation. This is what he said:
Sorry,we haven't got our own brand products yet,so the most products we sell are produced by a 3rd party manufacturer(Not OEM).
Although they are not original with famous brand ,the quality can be surely guaranteed with competitive price.

I don't understand.

Sorry, but the seller has no complaints about fake items, the mouse is detected in Windows as a Logitech mouse, it looks like a Logitech mouse, is working just fine, and even Logitech's own drivers pick it up and work with it, then why the desperate pleas for assistance as if you're on fire?

You took a shot, tried to save yourself £10, and it kinds looks like you won.

If it absolutely, positively HAD to be an original product for whatever reason, you should have spent the extra £10 and got it from Amazon. But in truth, the chances are that if you can't tell the difference, nobody else will be able to.

I'm confused.
You contacted the seller, and he told you it wasn't a real product.
You should probably take his word for it.

Sounds like it's not real. You could always check the serial number with Logitech themselves.

I wouldn't worry about it, all these products are made in China anyway. So many factories run for 16 hours making the real product for a company, then at the end of the day they pump out the counterfeit products on the same line with the same materials and the same workers.

To me it sounds like he's saying they don't manufacture the products they sell (they don't have their own brand), they are produced through third parties (Logitech)
This part "Although they are not original with famous brand ,the quality can be surely guaranteed with competitive price." looks like the comma is misplaced "Although they are not original, with a famous brand the quality can surely be guaranteed"

Okay guess I can be a little bit more confident, I've decided to keep it. Thanks for the replies.

The SN does check but there's no way to register it.
