Among the devices Apple plans to unveil at this event are the next generation version of the iPad and a new smaller iPhone, sources tell BuzzFeed News. Approximately the same size as the iPhone 5s, this smaller iPhone SE will feature a 4-inch display and a faster chip. Also on board: Support for Apple Pay, the company’s mobile payment service. A selection of new Apple Watch bands is also expected. 9to5Mac was first to report on the iPhone SE and the iPad Pro.

Any rumors pointing to a 2nd gen 12-inch MacBook? I can't believe how tight a lid Apple's kept on this.

My 2011 MBA is unusable at this point.

Still gonna hold off on an iPad until it gets 3D Touch, but this sounds like an excellent update to the iPad Air 2. Curious to see about the pricing scheme.

Regarding the iPhone SE: I'm glad Apple isn't leaving the smaller handset market behind (it's not like the 5/5S weren't wildly successful) but it's not for me.

Bring on any unexpected Mac upgrades, plz.

iPhone SE with loop! They swap the protruding camera for a little circle thingy.

I really hope the 'let us loop you in' isn't as dumb as different coloured milanese loops.

Don;t care about a tiny iPhone in 2016, didn't even like iPhones until the 6 Plus came out because they feel like toys for toddlers with how puny they were. What I am interested in is if we'll see the next generation of MacBook Pro, which I highly doubt. I'm also interested in the 9" iPad Pro.

"Loop" is kind of a hard thing to guess if they're trying to hint at something. I think most of the rumors have been saying that the Apple Watch 2 isn't going to be launched until the Fall so unless it is them just announcing new bands I'm stumped.

Echoing the sentiments about a laptop refresh. My MBP is getting rather slow and falling apart physically too. I'd like to upgrade this year if there's some good features (and if I've got the money).

The primary rumors state that the new iPad is just a 9.7" Pro with no other changes expected. Which is good, I think. Once they can get it plus a pencil under $500 I think they'll have a decent market to push drawing apps to.

Pencil probably won't change in price. And the smaller iPad Pro will likely still be 500$ baseline price.

I need it though.

I know it's going to get backlash, but you know you can change the battery for relatively cheap right? I mean you could have done that long ago.

I looked into replacing the battery, but considering the state of legacy support for apps, etc, etc, I concluded it was probably best to just upgrade. In the meantime, the old battery is annoying but usually not much of an issue.

I haven't really been following Apple's product cycles all that much recently, but are people expecting to see the next iteration of the iPhone on this upcoming event? Or is that usually reserved for the September event?

I guess Apple can call their new 9.7" iPad for iPad Air Pro, sounds pretty good! And for the love of God, please don't skimp on memory, 4GB would be the BOMB to have on a tablet. If not then I'll go and buy an Ipad Pro instead

Memory isn't a problem with the iPad Air 2, but 4GB would be awesome

Don't have much interest in smaller iPhone, but I'm looking forward to new iPads so I can make a decision about which one to get next

Toddler toys tend to be oversized, actually

I don't think that's going to happen. They want to push the Pro.

Meh. Its no different than having multiple screen sizes for same laptop family. I don't think the Air 3's internals will be an exact match for match with the Pro's, but I have no doubt the New air will have Pencil/Smart connector support. Guess we'll see though

I wonder if that 4K rumor for the new ipad is true

Highly doubt it, but if it is then it's time to upgrade. There hasn't been a good reason to upgrade the ipad in forever. Though the performance would likely be somewhat slowed by the new resolution. The revision after this next one will probably be the sweet spot.

I expect Watch stuff and maybe the iPhone SE. As much as I wish otherwise, I don't think we're going to get any mac refreshes until WWDC.

Really want to buy a 5k iMac, but holding out until the refresh sometime later this year.

The only thing I'm remotely interested in is a refresh on the MBP series, but with no rumors whatsoever, I doubt it.

Sigh

Guys, the "loop" reference might have nothing to do with the actual contents of the conference. The graphics are also pretty poor indicators of what they're doing half the time, so don't read too much into it.
