I just want to come into an Apple thread about notifications and read about Apple and notifications. Not wade through post after post of tired jokes and constant fanboy trolling. I want to do that in pretty much any tech related thread on NeoGAF.

Android does it better? Sooner? Great. I find that interesting, and I like to learn about what it did and why it's better.

But I'm pretty sure this thread was destined for shit from the start (title) so whatever.

There are plenty of posts in this thread providing that information. Blame yourself if you somehow skip over them and focus in on the trolling.

Also, next to noone is pissing on Apple here, but instead an article. Stop finding ways to take it so personally.

The author really is not explaining how Apple is doing anything different with the notification bar. He inserted a phrase saying Apple is going further than Google and leave it at that.

Even Blackberries already have this a year ago.

My mother's ultra-cheap phone, which is running some old ass Android, can reply to Whatsapp messages right from the notification.

Really? How do you turn on that functionality?
