Are Batman: Arkham remasters good?

I haven't played the games in a long time so I have been thinking about buying Batman: Return to Arkham collection on PS4. I really want to play them again. Are they good or should I just replay the originals? I remember hearing bad things about them before and after the release. Character models looked bad and Arkham City had framerate problems. I hope those fps problems have been fixed at least.

I remember seeing comparisons like these:

Batman doesn't look right.

They're fine. You'll be so distracted by how fucking good the games are you won't notice - hopefully.

I feel like the first one was the best in the series and from that point on started reproducing the same content with a few new gimmicks each time.

Still the best hero games of any kind around, you can see they took a lot of things from Arkham in Spiderman

There may be issues if you're going to compare zoomed-in screens and nitpick small details, but I played both in the last month and they run great. City still looks really impressive for an older game.

Asylum has a really annoying bug where subtitles sometimes run off the edge of the screen, making them unreadable. City may have had it too, can't remember. But otherwise they look and run fine. I didn't run into any framerate issues at all, though I played them on an X1X, maybe base consoles stutter.

The gliding alone makes City more fun to mess around in. Asylum definitely feels unique compared to the others since it's more focused, whereas Knight just feels like a bigger City. But they got better each game IMO, rocketing out of the Batmobile and flying around at high speed is super fun, I really liked the Batmobile in general, and the Scarecrow sections are really cool, there's so many awesome, memorable moments you can tell they had mind for awhile but had to wait for console hardware to catch up to their vision.

I'm playing these now, already finished Asylum. I'm sure you can find bad comparisons with all remastered games but honestly Arkham City remastered looks like an early current-gen game. I think they did a good job with them.

Recent patches fixed most of the problems. City always ran like garbage back in the day so it was nice to get at least a halfway decent FPS now even though it is not perfect.

Personally I find Arkham Asylum harder to play now because the combo aiming is dodgier than in the later entries where I usually had no problem having Batman move to the enemy I want punched or stunned.
