Chicken wings are the most "fun" to eat.
I've been thinking about learning how to cook fresh wings in a toaster oven to save myself money from precooked frozen wings which cost more.
Ok Bros. Tonight its gonna happen.
Tell me what you think.
- 24 drumsticks (soy garlic & sweet/spicy)
- 20 chicken wings (soy garlic & sweet/spicy)
- 4 Cole slaw servings
- 4 large French fries
$75 (note that this is Korean tier fried chicken)
This is what their chicken looks like:

Korean Fried Chicken w/ sweet chili sauce.
15 bux for this and you get rice and sides.
Same if I'm eating sides and have a drink but 10 was just my max in a single sitting, near empty stomach~
:e:
And by wing I mean winglette or drumlette. Not a whole wing.
4-5 whole wings or split to drummettes and wingettes?
Yeah but then you gotta worry about deep frying and allWings are pretty cheap if you make them yourself. A pack of 8 wings snipped and cut into 16 drummetes/flats is, what, $4?
Anyway Korean fried chicken is pricy because:
1) Yelp warriors and food fads
2) That shit takes a lot of effort if the recipes I've seen are anything to go by
I had drumsticks tooMan fuck chicken wings. You want some tasty chicken? Buy a thing of drumsticks, bread em' and throw some sauce on after you bake. Easy and tasty.
I bought them!Looks fantastic. How'd you cook them? Any special spices? You only ate 4 of them?! Details.
Chicken wings are one of the best marketed scams in all of human history. When you break it down chicken wings have little meat, and are insanely annoying to eat due to one bite of meat being in between those two little bones.
Somewhere in history someone said "Hey man what should we do with these least desirable parts of the chicken? I don't see why anyone would buy them."
"We'll put special sauces on them and advertise them as a 'fun' food."
And it worked. Someone turned the Grade F meat that should be reserved only for 300-item Chinese buffets into the premier entree in college towns everywhere.
I only do Drums though. Fuck flats.
The pulling the bones out works well if the wing has a dry crust.. The wiggling of the bones is more controllableThere was a video I saw of the "right" way to eat flats involving yanking out both of the bones before eating. Seemed hoity toity. I just shove the whole thing in my mouth and pull the bones out. Delicious.
