Are Knack and Ryse on the same level of disinterest?

That's how it always worked in GoW except for boss fights where the QTE is mandatory.

Oh, right. like the minotaurs and medusas. I guess the difference is in God of War you have to correctly complete the QTE, otherwise they'll stick around and you have to continue to hack them to death. At least, from their description of Ryse, it doesn't seem to be like that.

Daaaaaamn...

If they want to know what nextgen is they should be buying Killzone, not Knack or Ryse.

well kz ..is a pretty nice title too...in fact...as Ryse show some early next gen...

but knack...if u put on a side that particles effect ...theres nothing

(im talking just about graphics the gameplay im sure will be soo fun)

for this reason as i already said...ppl will get a lots of interest in Ryse..(xb1 early users at least)...this game show stuff that old gen didnt

That tag shall burn your soul forever.

i really dont know whats wrong with you..man

you think that knack is an hot next gen title?..to my eyes..could be easly an end generation ps3 title.....

meanwihle ryse,kz,second son, forza (and also other 3rd party games).....show great graphics..

I've read previews slamming both games. I'm picking up Knack mostly based on giving myself more variety with all dem shooters. I played the Knack demo at Best Buy and did find it kind of shallow but I could easily see it getting much better (hopefully there is more to it then going from area to area smacking enemies)

I have absolutely zero interest in Knack and I am very interested in Ryse. And I'm getting aPS4, not an Xbox One....not yet at least.

Beside the main character, the enviroment are pretty blend. They also have fixed camera, Where are we ? back in 2000? I will reserve my comment about Ryse once I actually play it. NBA 2k14 looks the most next-gen to me.

i thnk you need to rewatch some recent videos of Ryse.....im sure that the gameplay will not be a 10/10...but graphically...is jaw dropping

What is this nonsense? Knack is clearly a next gen title graphically.

Its gameplay is poor but the same can be said for Ryse.

It seems like Ryse has been a very polarizing game when it comes to interest. Some can't wait whereas others think it looks extremely dull.

Knack seems to be getting a pretty consistent "Meh".

If knack sells better it will be a miracle.

Knack had a fraction of the budget, fraction of the marketing, is in a genre the us turned its back on and is already being labelled as kiddy.

If knack does better it's because of hardware sales and system attachment.

No. It's because you consistently and ceaselessly make insane, absurd indefensible arguments over the most ridiculous Microsoft shit, all the time, non-stop, nearly 24 hours around the clock. I can almost list a book of the amount of times you went into a topic, tried to spread misinformation regarding the systems (most famously your attempt to try to muddy the waters of the XBO power vs. PS4 early on, which you've now tried to take a more light hearted approach over as if you never cared). Similarly, you recently just tried to defend the comments over "power" being subjective, even though that's a factual inaccuracy. There's nothing to debate. Yet you found a way.

Again, what you and other Xbox fanatics do, likely because there's so much negativity, is 'couch' your comments so those who haven't followed as closely don't realize what you're doing.

You'll say things like 'Listen I am getting both systems, it doesn't matter to me since I'm going to love and enjoy both. But here's why Microsoft is right about X, Y and Z.' What this does is allow people who haven't been following your posts to be confused as to your intentions. Yes, you will occasionally put in a throwaway comment in support of PS4, so you can muddy this fact. Say things like "well yes it's more powerful, I am just discussing that it may not be by as much as everyone thinks!"

That ignores that you consistently tried to claim insider crap in regards to ESRam latency without backing up any claims, tried to defend the Digital Foundry Architect articles which have now demonstrably been proven to be FUD, here's you trying to again diminish the differences between PS4 and Xbox One with discussion of ESRam latency, this is you defending Spencer's absurd "power is subjective" argument, your posts on Beyond3D are not at all dissimilar, going way back as you tried to find any positive upside to the Xbox One architecture, even whilst more and more news came out that showed this was not the case. I can probably post a billion examples, because I didn't even have to go that far back to find most of these.

Just look at the way people respond to your points in these topics. For the most part, nearly everyone is incredulous about your claims, and people far more knowledgeable than you have consistently rebuffed your claims. And unsurprisingly, throughout this entire year, it is only in your insane defenses of Xbox One that have got you into any arguments. You did not perform this same service for PS4, because you were too busy trying to prop XBO up.

Look, we all have preferences and biases. There's no problem with that. I have no problem even if you are the world's largest raging fanboy. I have a problem only when people try to pretend they are NOT a certain way, even though everyone can see they are.

That's why this entire thread is funny. You're so desperate to prove Ryse must be better that you want to make a new topic describing why Ryse is deeper than Batman despite having never played Ryse. Why? Well, you'll make your excuses and try to pretend you arrived at the conclusion subjectively. But the content of your posts always expose something different: a near crazed-eye desperation to defend the system and its games against naysayers.

We do believe what you post. That's why most have determined your preferences and biases pretty easily. What I don't get is why you try to deny it. Embrace it, it's who you are.

got damn.....................

There have been very positive and very negative previews, but there's one catch. I decide for myself based on what I see whether or not I want to buy a game. Ryse is a buy because I think it looks awesome. How good it ends up being I won't know until I finish with it, but it's a game that I feel pretty fucking good about based on all the footage and everything I know about it.

I've read a decent amount of previews on the game, can you link me to one that is 'very positive' and goes into good detail why?

Which would bring up an interesting point -- if a quick, simple, certainly cheap to make game does well enough on the PS4, won't publishers be happy to take more risks with games that don't have a wide appeal and massive budgets?

The two best things that can happen this gen are:

1) People stop thinking of "Indie" games as inherently inferior to AAA experiences, thus giving them more space and exposure in the platforms

2) Increased ease of development and an engaged customer base results in the larger return of mid-range, mid-budget games that are allowed to perform "ok" instead of selling millions.

If both end up being true in a few years, the new generation will already be a resounding success for gaming IMO.

I'll probably buy both because it's launch and buying games you're not really interested in is what we do, but neither particularly excites me.

Ryse... I tried to stick up for this game before but I just can't

Knack I think could be fun, but it has some bad, bad demonstrations. Its something I would get for a lower price, because it seems full of content.

A million times this. That being said I'm not buying either Ryse or Knack, so no dog in this fight.

For me, yeah. No interest in either. I find the amount of discussion Ryse gets baffling. Just looks like a turd. As for Knack, haven't seen much discussion about it.

Ryse is much more interesting than Knack, even with it's shitty combat. Knack just lacks personality to me. The main character is just so damn bleh. It's particle gimmick doesn't really excite me either from a gameplay perspective. Ryse at least has great art and some really cool historic environments.

To be honest, I haven't seen much in terms of Knack gameplay, mostly because early showings haven't given me a reason to.

Being a game aimed primarily at children, there's little motivation for fanboys to defend it.

Ryse, on the other hand...

It does not -look- like a turd, it just seems like it has turd filling. Looking at the piece behind a glass case the baked dough with multi colored frosting and sprinkles look beautiful(graphics), but you can't help but notice that there's this unpleasant aroma around it. Whether or not it has that turd filling when people actually bite into it remains to be seen.

Ryse will sell way more. Knack will be a better game (i hope at least..)

I think this will happen

However I am far more interested in Knack at this point and will buy it at launch

If I was buying both systems at launch, Ryse wouldn't make the launch cut for me

I think there's a higher level of interest in Ryse. Xbone fans are crossing their fingers it'll be good, PS4 fans crossing their fingers it will be bad. Nobody really seems as interested in Knack although it wouldn't surprise me at all if it turns out to be a better game.
