Wait what? How do I ensure that I get the PS Logo marks on the touchpad?
You can start by forking over $1000 to get the "real" 20th anniversary edition controller and console.

And the difference between the 20th Anniversary controller and the actual 20th Anniversary is:

I got the LE MGSV console, analogue sticks on that felt bad after about 2 days, I don't believe they did for a second. My red left control stick is starting to bubble, have they really improved the controller?

I can confirm that mine also got roughly 10 hours of battery life. Better than any of my other controllers have achieved on a single charge. Looks like they've improved battery life even though it's still only 800mAh.
It seems like they've improved the quality of the controller, at least for me. The battery lasted a whole lot longer than usual, even when I was chatting and playing MGSV. Mine also seems to have harder rubber on the thumbsticks compared to my launch DualShock 4s, and oddly enough the R2 and L2 buttons seem to be made of a different material than the R1 and L1 buttons. Like, the 1s are shinier and the 2s are more matte when you shine some light on them. Maybe the triggers are made of a better material now. I hope so, since I've broken the R2 button on all 3 of the controllers I own already. Hoping it won't happen to this one, but I'm ready to repair it like the others if it comes down to it.
This is for the PlayStation generation.
This is for the cross button bashers.
The first Ridge Racer and Racoon City survivors.
The Tekken champions and the Gran Turismo front-runners.
This is for those that will never forget that spine-tingling start-up sound or the thrill of the first DualShock rumble.
This is for anyone with a Crash Bandicoot tattoo or a game-save they'll cherish forever.
The Chocobo riders and paper dog rappers.
The port-switching Solid Snakes, the multistep huddlers and the dance-mat partiers.
This is for those who've led double lives, loving every second.
Just had an email about the controllers.

After explaining to the support guy on the phone that these headphones have worked on my old controllers in the past, he said that Sony has issued a new firmware update to the new DS4 controllers that ship, including the 20th anniversary controller, that will not allow input from any microphone that is not Sony licensed. He told me that he had experienced the exact same issue (the support guy had the same issue) and he had to go ahead and buy the PlayStation Silver Headset for $60, and that works for him.
How could the controller tell the difference between headsets using an analog connector?Does anyone else use this controller with a non-Sony microphone? I'm trying to determine if mine is faulty or if there's some supreme bullshit going on.
I have a white DS4 and have always used any random earphones with mic (Apple earbuds, Sol Republic Relays) to chat. When I tried the same earphones with the Anniversary DS4, the mic does not work. I can get to the Adjust Microphone Level setting, so the controller recognizes a mic, it just doesn't pick anything up. People here and here seem to be having the same issue. The mics work on any other peripheral and there doesn't seem to be an issue with the depth of the port on the DS4 or the length of the 3.5mm jacks on any of the earphones.
Now, the bullshit part. When I tried an old Steelseries headset, the mic worked fine. This evidence along with this paragraph from the above link:
...seem to suggest that there is a firmware in these controllers actively blocking any non-licensed microphone. A few things:
1. Why would this be a thing?
2. Does it state this limitation anywhere on the packaging or in the manual?
3. What the fuck?
How could the controller tell the difference between headsets using an analog connector?
That's bullshit if true. Wow. I'm going to try mines right now.
EDIT-
Tried a Sony and Maxell earphone and they both work. Maybe it's certain controllers?
