Are there any games besides call of duty that have 4k textures?

Okami HD renders everything internally at either 2K or 4K or something before down sampling to 1920x1080.

There's a cool article about it somewhere....

I think the important thing we're not asking here is does ghosts really have 4k textures?

Purely on the resolution of textures on the PC version, it's not a stretch. For environments and props it out-reses a lot of Battlefield stuff (though character model wise BF trumps CODs)

A lot of larger vehicle props went upwards of 4096x2048

Well, "4k textures" doesn't really mean anything. It all depends on texel:pixel ratio.

That said, many of the armor textures in Dark Souls 2 PC are "4k".

Uuuhhhh, this question makes no sense. The resolution your screen renders at has no bearing on texture quality.
Well he obviously doesn't realize that. Hence the confusion.

Its understandable, I'd say. Shame people here are just making judgemental comments(not saying you RedHot) instead of answering his question/informing him like he was hoping.

I've gotta say I'm not 100% sure how texture resolution works, either.

Tech 5 can use 128k textures, but if you stretch that over a big enough model it's still going to look blurry.

In their case they stretch em on whole environment.

Also it's possible to use >4k texture on something small like an single arrow or small stone.
Very important thing is also how Good the UVW mapping is on the object with very bad UVW one can lose ~>80% of the effective resolution of the texture.

4096X4096 textures?

Lots of games employ them actually depending upon the mesh.

Sometimes it is a complete waste of texture space though if it is a low frequency texture, or the same could be done with a detail map.

The metrics are irrelevant really, what matters is the result.
